Yes or the very early 70's ... in Highs-Cool ... friends owned a 66 Chevelle with a pearl white paint job and 2-8 barrels on top of a 396 with a 3/4 race cam ... 65 GTO with a 6 pack ... lots of Corvettes ... I have owned a Z28 a 1975 1/2 ton ford pickup with a balanced 302 and deep dish brushed aluminum slots fitted with L60's ... matching cap with dark brown metallic paint including orange pin striping ... a Full Size Hot Wheel :)-
I remember back in 1967 when I was 14 and a clean up boy in the local candy store. Local tough guy Butch G____ had this exact car and would pick up the waitress Eileen H_____. He had his butts rolled up in his sleeves with a DA haircut and I thought he was the coolest guy in the world! This Chevelle of yours is beautiful and really recreates the stock Chevy badass look! The Bonanza show advertised all the neat new chevys back then.
Him saying it needs a tune up, nope got a holley with a blown power valve bud. The black around the throat of that carb is a tell tell sign. Buy you a rebuild kit for that carb and she'll run even better.
JRC99 .... Absolutely nothing wrong with thinking YOUR piece is the baddest....After all, It was YOUR hard-earned cash that went into it, nobody else !!!
But its true ..its real nice ..but bold to say its the baddest its a big hole to fill...you should have kept it local like around the block for starters lol then move up ..ripvanwinkle
I had a 67 SS396, bought new. It was the same color, but had bucket seats and a console. I did some work to it, and raced it at Raceway Park in NJ for 2 years. Came in runner up in the nationals in 69. In 1970 it was stolen from the place I worked. The cops found it a few weeks later, totally stripped down to just the body. Engine, tranny, wheels, and the entire interior gone. It only had 25,000 miles on it. Paid $2,900 for it new, and got $1,200 from insurance. Broke my heart.
Edward DiCecco Wow... What a story.. Insurance companies are thieves...we have to have it by law...but they never do what they say in the contract unless you hire a lawyer and fight ...
The way the driver was afraid to touch the carburetor, gives me the impression that he was not involved with the build. Does not speak about the build. Reaches gently over to the throttle, looks uncomfortable doing that.
So beautiful. Orchestra playing such a beautiful melody. "CAM"/HORSEPOWER. Sounds like a "BIONIC" Popcorn machine!!! 🤤🤤🥲🥲. Oh yeah the headers sound like a "VIOLIN" playing a classical melody from my childhood. I Love classical music. But only this kind. 🤤🤤🥲🥲
hey- I'm currently restoring my '67 Chevelle. It has a '70 454 in it with only about two thousand miles on the engine. The car is pretty straight and I hope it will look as bad-ass as this one in the vid. Color is the same. I like the wheels- love to get some like that. Thanks for posting.
Beautiful Picasso classic art. My oldest brother had one around '75. I was about 12yrs old 396 Isky solid lifter cam. H-ll it so hard he had 2 put it neutral when he stopped at a stoplight. Even he said it needed a stall(converter). It was the white/beige (funny color. Off white black vinyl top. Cam hit hard. I rember one day it was cold outside. I can still C him adjusting the rocker arms.
Back in 60s growing up neighbors had a '67 Nova 2 dr. hdtp same color as this vid's Chevelle. iirc it was called Nassau blue. Loved that body style a lot.
Nice "67" Chevelle, but I'm not sure if you know what you've got, or how to take care of this jewel. Baddest, I wouldn't run out to see the guys at 405 on Street Outlaws. The car would be nice in a car cruise, but a planet. I don't think so, and put out that cigarette before you burn the car up.
Really nice example, I’ve owned dozens of chevelles..... buuuuuttt... I’ve also built over a thousand engines, and that’s probably why there’s no gauges. When you have your motor delivered to your doorstep, you can’t possibly have any understanding of engine monitoring, and vital functions. Plus the whole smoking thing.... yea.
By “some work”, I mean 50/50 Cureride shocks in the rear, air bags in the rear coil springs to even out the torque on the posi rear end, electric fuel pump, a Crower cam and kit with 360 duration and half inch lift, a 4 speed Muncie wide box tranny, hurst competition plus shifter with reverse lockout, complete gauges, and the stock 3:55 rear end. Tried 4:10’s for awhile, but only good at the track.
Nice 67. Could be a real SS. They did come with bench seat, not all had buckets. The dash is def SS as is the steering wheel. I own a 67 Malibu, wish it was ad nice ad this Chevelle.
It is actually a real SS car. I owned a 1969 Chevelle SS 396 car in hugger orange with black interior and stripes, that had a split bench seat, and it was also a factory 4 speed car, with air conditioning. Back then, you could basically order them any way you wanted, as the SS options were basically dealer installed. That's why they come with secondary build sheets. Most were factory cars, but most SS options other than the mechanical's, (engine, transmission, rear end, suspension) were installed by the dealers back then, per customer order.
What state and town is this with no yard fences? Im li los angeles and its like prisone here with fences everywhere. Everyone here is scared of theaft i reckon. Looks friendly there.
l love the way some guys put down a mans car. those Are the ones that used to have one better. but it got wrecked. got stolen. had to sale it when i got married . lmao
that car thats on my picture thats a 65'chevelle malibu but its a drag car its just steel head big block 427 aluminum intake with the guy in it weighs 2,700 pounds its made out of carbon fiber the slicks are 16 by 33 and a half steel crank CHEVY!!!!!
looks like my old 67, then a black one, then a pearll one that is on here, still have a black with white stripes 1970 chevelle SS 572 the wicketed jon duncan
To each his own !!! All you haters who drive fart can imports with them dumbass looking aluminum cross braced spoilers that actually slow down that lil toy car shouldn't be hating!! You're 67SS IS Badass.....real AMERICAN MUSCLE !!! Love it !!!!
You cuz ur car is right on the money and I'm happy young guys like yourself didn't fuck up a classic car with big low profile tires and instruments that don't go with the interior,etc...wheels,paint,interior and chrome all go very nice with the year including the stance..dude take great of it and hand it down to family member..have fun with it,don't let it sit in a garage show it off...ps:fuck all the trolls most don't know shit especially old school cars, just take care of it !!!
This is not the baddest but i will give it its due.The one thing I like the most is its a STREET machine.I have friends that like the street outlaw show and i sometimes watch it but if you have to trailer the car to the race its not a street machine to me.I will go a step further i'm not a big fan of cutting it and tubbing the wheels too. This car has a good look to it and not the low profile tires and rims. The car has a good sound and a good stance and wheels. The car is not slammed to the ground either.Thats just me...I'm 55 and remember when these to roam the streets and race what you brought.
That is one sweet Chevy. I love it and that color, takes me back to the 60's. Awesome!

How about getting all that grime out of the existing carburetor for starters.
Beautiful build . One of my favorite vintage colors . Love the period correct rims and tire profile . Nailed the stance
It's a nice car, don't get me wrong, but baddest on the planet is a pretty big overstatement.
JRC99 I like your comment. You r RIGHT it's not the baddest. But it is cool.
Nice but not the baddest
JRC99 and the interior smells like an asshole smoking a cig
JRC99 .... Absolutely nothing wrong with thinking YOUR piece is the baddest....After all, It was YOUR hard-earned cash that went into it, nobody else !!!

Edward DiCecco cool story sorry about your car but that did happen a lot
Edward DiCecco
Wow... What a story..
Insurance companies are thieves...we have to have it by law...but they never do what they say in the contract unless you hire a lawyer and fight ...
Stance is PERFECT !!
67 super sport 396, i bought one back in 1974 for $460 bucks. It was red. Damn i miss her.
That's a lot of soot in the top of that carb.
My first thought when taking off the air filter. Man that carburetor is filthy. Can't afford a can of gumout at the least?
Astro blue metallic,love that car
Sweet Chevelle but as my Dad told me...the only people who should wear their baseball caps backwards are catchers.
guys just proud of his car, the negative comments below are people letting their inner ugliness show.
Bench seat - no console - four speed .
Perfect !
cigarette holes in the seats in one week.
Beautiful car and the right color. I like the rally wheels too!
I wonder if it still smells like an ashtray ?
and you're stinking it up with those nasty cigarettes....
Dude smokes in that car, no way !
great car, great color. nothing obnoxious
That car is beautiful. It might only get 8 mpg , but it's true living art.
lean it out some and increase your idle rpm rate by 2 or 3 hundred.
Put a timing light on it also, buckets & a console

I bet your Chevelle really runs good,Dave.Would be nice to hear that beast rumbling.

Is it for sale
Everything is for sale, if your offer is right.
Mine was yellow and black but they sound about the same. Had a 850 dpdf holly. And torquer manifold. Carb sat at a slight angle to the motor.
So lucky man and so beautiful nice car.🤩 I love it.
My uncle had a 67. Same color. All original 396. It was sweet.
Beautiful car- I’ve always wanted this specific car to sound and look exactly like that
The most appealing model year of the bunch imo
Back in 60s growing up neighbors had a '67 Nova 2 dr. hdtp same color as this vid's Chevelle.
iirc it was called Nassau blue. Loved that body style a lot.
Hope he don't smoke in that nice ride
Nice "67" Chevelle, but I'm not sure if you know what you've got, or how to take care of this jewel. Baddest, I wouldn't run out to see the guys at 405 on Street Outlaws.
The car would be nice in a car cruise, but a planet. I don't think so, and put out that cigarette before you burn the car up.
Beautiful machine... My neighbor here in Los Angeles has a yellow one identical down to the wheels - equally Cherry!

When you have your motor delivered to your doorstep, you can’t possibly have any understanding of engine monitoring, and vital functions. Plus the whole smoking thing.... yea.
My brother's brother had almost the same identical car. But it was a 4 speed 396(bored 30 over).
Like the Steelers hoodie at the end!!!! LMAO!!! Nice Car

Baddest or not, it is a beauty and looks tough. Great car...

Real smart ones standing in front of it while revving it up
What state and town is this with no yard fences? Im li los angeles and its like prisone here with fences everywhere. Everyone here is scared of theaft i reckon. Looks friendly there.
I'll bet his neighbors love him.
The same had a 4speed but this one didn't have bucket seats one beanch still great car I had a red and a blue 67 and a red66 like the 66 best
