The scene of John having a conversation at an outside diner (or whatever you call it) really feels like the crew is presenting an outside world & how more so of a human being John is rather then just a psycho. to me it makes me feel good knowing that the saw franchise isn’t just about dark settings, scary locations and brutal traps but something more realistic
Really conveys how John is a villain but he's not the type of villain who takes pleasure in what he does, in fact he has a sense of Melancholy when he does what he does, like he doesn't see any other way to help people and that this is necessary evil required
It makes him a liar then because in the razor maze he has a convo with hoffman saying never make it personal blah blah. I guess it’s good to see him do more tho they are banking this movie on John and Amanda. Hoffman probably to. It’s cool everyone in saw is always available and wants to come back.
@@Dukesparrow1999 I do like that idea of him not enjoying what he's doing with a deep belief what he's doing is right. I just don't want them to ever try to justify what he's doing as right.
After watching the BTS footage, it looks like John captures each victim, chains them all up in the warehouse and proceeds to give each one a test while the others look on, waiting for theirs. It's like he's the doctor now and they are the patients waiting to be seen/examined. In one scene, Mateo is just chained up and then later he has the Brain Surgery trap on so there must have been a point John was working on him, while the others wait (and I guess interact with Amanda). If that's the case, I think that's amazing! It really ups the tension and dread they would be feeling as they see their fellow scam artists gradually fall. I'm guessing John is saving Cecilia for last to teach her the biggest lesson. And I absolutely love how John and Amanda are freely walking about and interacting with them...really getting into their psyche. This all looks incredible and fresh for a SAW film.
Seeing the behind the scenes makes me appreciate the cinematography and sound design so much more. Seeing Billy roll around on his trike in this video looks goofy as hell but in the actually film it comes off as super creepy
According to this behind scene video, the bath room hanging scene will be one of biggest secret scene in the movie. This video doesn't only a little bit scene.

Interesting. John seems way more up close and personal with his victims. He only does this with Amanda, Hoffman, and Cecil. I wish we could've had more moments like this in the franchise, instead of just having him being behind the scene the entire time. I've grown out of Saw for quite a while. But this actually looks promising.
I mean he did with Jeff too, he just physically couldnt walk there. William and Bobby both had recordings made specifically for their tests by John so I imagine if he lived that long he would have appeared to them. The fatal 5 really dont have anything special, and the horsepower trap victims didnt either. The public trap I remember seeing something about it originally having John and Gordon watching it. So I think it's a mix of him not really having the time and ability to watch all of them in person
@brandontsosie4514 Possibly also the fact that they all got really personal with John, as they toyed with something as serious as cancer and his own life. So it does make sense why John is doing this as it's to save other desperate people from being lied to and losing their lives thinking they were cured.
