FAQ: Q: Whats happen if you plug it back in? A: Nothing on emulator. But on PC ports, someone already did that. Q: When Part 2? A: I was currently busy with many stuff including working on some CS Source map. Would make one if i had the time. Part 2 will have the following games: 007 Nightfire (PC), heavily modified GoldSrc Cry of Fear Half-Life PS2 Half-Life 2 (Original Xbox) VTMB Vindictus (using private server) HL Source (i wanted to see how bad it gonna be) The Orange Box (PS3) - all games Portal (Nintendo Switch) Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 (Xbox 360) Portal 2 (X360 + PS3 + Switch) CS:GO (PS3 only as X360 doesnt render correctly on Xenia) Titanfall 2 (PC) and much more third-party Source games. Also another thing, Postal III may not boot properly on Xenia (even forked build unless devkit) on some systems (and this just recently happened on my PC aswell, it used to boot just fine before it won't)
@@Jeddibeddi It's third game of the POSTAL series made by Running with Scissors They gave the rights to a Russian developer to make the game, and it was so bad RWS removed the game from Steam and even mentioned it in Postal 2: Paradise Lost (DLC) as a "vision of a bad future"
it's kind of interesting seeing Postal 3 in this video and the whole video series itself how long can source Engine last without needing a USB plugged in
God damn, Postal 3. Not only did you choose a game that was already broken to the core, but you decided to make it even more broken. That's just... cruel.
It makes sense if you think the game loads all these thing in RAM - physics, graphics, NPC IA, some textures and sounds, and when it tries to access something which is not loaded, it fails
yea, the game didn't even get as corrupted as hl2. plus it didnt even have actual in-game subtitles (except the cutscenes which requires mods or the game set in german language to see the subtitles). But it does get crashed more frequently.
this was from the mod which enables the message that tells you when you kill anyone in the game using lethal weapons, preventing you from earning the pacifist achievement and the pacifist ending.
I would try that later in next part but because i'm having low disk space and there are 100 of Source games, i would only pick the most interesting one, VTMB was one of them.
Happy Tree Friends: False Alarm on the 360 is technically a Source Engine game. Would be interesting to see how that would handle this experiment. Same with Source engine games on other consoles, like the PS2 and Dreamcast versions of HL1 (if possible)
Happy Tree Friends?, now that's a name i haven't heard in a while, specially the fact that i was originally a Happy Tree Friends fan back in 2019, and yeah, i still remember to this day.
@@DrBojangles Yeah, and despite being delisted on Steam way back in like 2014, you were able to buy it for $5 on the 360...well until the store got forever closed. I realized that and was able to buy it before it shut down thankfully. Now there's no legal way to get it unless you want to pay some rando on G2A $1000000 for a HTF Steam key. And no, it sadly never was on the PS3.
That game ain't Source or even GoldSrc at all. It stores game file in WAD format like Doom, Quake and HL1 does but the MDL file format it use was different and it's also doesn't use BSP for map files. It's just custom engine and file name being similar and that was it.
Kinda similar to how it looked when I could only play postal 3 on my usb coz i was out of space on my pc, although this seems to be playing way better than it did when the usb was actually IN the computer. The piracy build of postal 3 is a handful.
will try that later next week or so, both original and 2013 version (ultra deluxe is unity so it wont appear on my next video but i would make a separate video for non-source games).
even Postal 3, no... Even corrupted Postal 3 is better than stable Postal 4 (which they achieve only with tons of patches and game still looks like crap)
@@megakarlach2 RTX Remix really is just a bad joke, all things considered. I'm happy enough to just wait for Source 2 remasters, rather than butchering the art style and methodical visual design of the originals.
Okay I had to read context clues via other commenters and really dive deep into the description... you're *running the games on a USB drive* and unplugging it while running. The wording is confusing. "an user attempting to corrupt Portal by unplugging the USB" I legit thought you meant just any USB peripheral.
I think you could answer that on jailbroken consoles since then you can run game files straight from hard drive or external devices such as a usb thumb drive
what's with that awful little techno song that kept playing during the postal 3 pc footage? i swear i thought i was going insane, is it just part of the game?
i will try some of them soon, but i dont have much drive space left and because there are like 100 of Source games I would only pick one that was interesting. Beside I will also test GoldSrc on PS2 aswell as Source games on PS3 aswell.
