Shinji left, who is to say Tango still had the creative design to make good games. It's easy to look at past work with rose tinted glasses and get emotional. But the truth is we don't know what the future would hold for Tango even if they were able to make another game

You're right, I'm assuming Tango would make another great game, for me, its even easier to get emotional when I think about what could happen to other studios after making a good game. I feel as though Microsoft went and did all this buying of game studios and when one of these studios actually made a decent exclusive they decide to cut them off? The public was told that this game was a success in there metrics, so mixed communication leaves people confused and upset. I appreciate you listening to podcast and taking the time to comment!-Barry

@highsensitivitygaming4325 I don't get emotional about these things. It's part of the business. I mean it sucks every time you a hear a studio shut down. But it's been par for the course within the industry in the last year. Sony, EA, Take-Two, not to mention the countless indie studios that have seen mass layoffs and studio closures. I just think the speculation doesn't lead us down a rational path. I also think Microsoft has been right to not respond to the rumors and speculation. Any news is good news and Xbox is all anyone can talk about right now

I don't know about any news is good news. Yes people are talking Xbox but not in a good way, Yes, Game Pass is deal and good for gamers that can be talked about but, in a world where is Xbox wants to grow more subscribers and sell new hardware this doesn't really help them. News ,yes can get you talked about and have your brand said more, but if all that's said about them is bad things then what do gain, brand awareness? Microsoft is a trillion company, that doesn't need awareness. In previous episodes we have talked about how layoffs in general are bad and how the current status quo in gaming isn't sustainable. This episode just happens to focused on the latest big layoffs. I hope you continue to listen conversations like these are good and open my mind up to other ways of seeing things, Thank you-Barry

@highsensitivitygaming4325 While I think the layoffs were loud and is a negative. the news of the layoffs is sliding off the radar. The gaming community suffers from being terminally online and having it's own 24hr news cycle. Now, CoD on game pass is the big story. Hellblade 2 also gets alot of free press from this as well. In 2 weeks we will be talking about the showcase. I don't believe it will have any real impact on what people think about xbox and Microsoft. Alot of people have their opinions already, positive or negative. I think if we ignore the speculation and just take what Phil has been saying, Xbox has a plan to grow the ecosystem. Consoles are just one of many vehicles they provide for that. Gp is the most inexpensive way to play CoD, Elders scroll 6, Fallout 5, etc or bring steam and epic to console, growing a mobile gaming presence will be more impactful in the long and short term
