We are encouraged to give/donate more during Ramadhan to help the needy. These Ramadhan Bazzars made it easy. Just buy whatever you want in more quantity and give it to those in need. Or.. we can just pay and put order direct to the vendor and ask them to send it to any charity homes or masjeeds.
Tapai made up by fermented steamed glutenous rice + yeast then wrap in two styles; rubber tree leaves & banana leaves. These traditional dessert usually prepared during Eid season but rarely prepared during fasting month like in the video.
I was shock to watch you take the whole piece hahaahaha normally we eat small amount bit by bit to adjust our pallete with the taste since its fermented. Anyway good experience yeahh Some eat it with vanilla ice cream@@CKology

Yes, that's right, most local delicacies are only available in the Ramadan Bazaar, rarely offered in stalls, especially kuih with coconut milk and melaka sugar, which is normally for dessert and is good to consume because they don't use cane sugar

That rubber leaf wrap is called tapai (fermented tapioca). The watery banana leaf is tepung pelita not kuih talam.
