It’s really cool to see how far youve taken this channel. I have no doubt youll reach your goal and be able to do this full time. You put in the work, and it shows, just a matter of time✌️
Bro tip number 5 for sure! It’s no bullshit, I’ve spent the past year really sitting down and getting to know the box and between that and watching your back log it’s TOTALLY changed how I make music! This video was dope man! Keep it up. 👍🏼
spvidz for real man, when I heard you say it in this video I was like fuck, it’s too real man, it easy to say but all you gotta do is do it! It’s funny too I feel like the better I would get the less I could see the numbers on the pads 😂 it’s how you know you’ve been puttin in time
I love the community there is in your comment section, there's always people trying to help and give advice, which makes everyone learn a lot. I've had the 404a for six months or so and I'm in love with it, I've spent a lot of time with it, and it translated to better beats, but every day it surprises me with more ways to make beats, it's a small box but it can achieve a lot. Much love
Yeah man the community around this channel is super dope. Lucky to have it. I’ve learned a lot from other people’s comments. And agree yeah it’s such a cool unit! Legendary cult status
Love your channel man. Watch every new video, keep up the fantastic work! I got my sp about a year ago and due to work I’ve not got as deep with it as I would like but lately I’ve been off work and I feel I’ve really learnt so much thanks to your channel. I have a background in music production but never sample based music until this year. My biggest struggle is finding samples that work. I go ahead with samples anyway for learning but I’m yet to make something I like lol. Hoping one day something clicks!
Yo man thanks for the support! It does take time. When I listen back to some of my old beats I cringe hard haha. You just gotta chip away and eventually you will get there. Try and find instrumentals without drums - they're awesome for samples :)
spvidz I actually got your sample pack too. Love the snares especially! I hear you man I will just keep chopping and hopefully I will start picking up a better ear for it as time goes. I’ve actually not attempted chopping around drums yet and just been finding parts of tracks where the drums aren’t there!
@@murmur8360 Nice one man thanks for picking that up! Chopping around drums or songs with drums is like an art form in itself! I need to up my game on that side of things
thanks a lot, have to catch up on soo many vidz of yours!!! never touched my sp in years :/ never got quite into it... preferred the st224 and korg microsampler, but I really wanna understand the sp404sx bc I think it goes hand in hand with the st224
Thanks for this upload my G! Mad respect for talking about the leveling part! Been requesting this and you came trought! Respect and lots of love outto Sweden G! Peace
@@spvidz No problem bro. Looking forward to that :) But as you said in this vid, mixing and mastering in the sp404 is not its main intent. Have a nice evening bro. peace
Preach it brother on the playing it through something other than headphones. The real test is through phone speakers or in the car. Sometimes i think what im making is complete garb then i listen through my monitors and it bumps to heck :O BEST TIP
Yo its not sorry no. I just knocked together a few beats using Splice samples to put behind my videos! I don't have any intention of actually releasing them but glad you enjoyed it!
I haven’t man no! Obviously not much point me getting one after picking up an SX. I’m hoping they bring out a new one with more new features then I’ll be keen to invest!
@@spvidzCool bro. I been following the channel for a while and finally got the money to buy one but dont no in which one to invest. Maybe i'll wait for a new one. Keep up the great work!
I would get the A over the SX as its basically the same but newer. I don't know if there will ever be a new one tbh but as I already had an SX when the A came out there wasn't enough of a difference to make me want to get one! But yeah the A/SX is a solid first SP.

your awesome man, i hope you can do this full time one day. keep chasing that dream !!!!!!
Thanks a lot man! Appreciate the support 🙌
I appreciate your content. Can you demonstrate how to set up the cables for sp with the audio interface? Explaining the RCA’s in and outs..
Thanks man I have already done a video which may help - ruclips.net/video/LhAt4ZxIqek/видео.html

Finally got one of these. Took two days to get here from Michigan. Horrific custom fees, don't care lol. Starting from scratch, the hill looks steep 😂

100% man. Changes your perspective. I kept making beats that sounded WACK until I started using my monitors instead!
You the man!
Appreciate it ma man! 🙌
