I’m a hardcore metalhead that plays nothing but thrash metal and death metal on guitar but I fucking LOVE keytars I always thought they were super cool. I really wanna learn how to play one

This and another video are what pushed me off the edge into the realm of keytars... because I bought this exact model. I grew up with an old Casio FM synth in the 90's and have had many since then. For me personally though, no synth have I enjoyed playing as much as this one. This was my first keytar and will always treasure it... it's just so damn fun to play and sounds great~!
Oxygene 4 By Jean Michel Jarre it wasn't released in the 80s it was released in 1976 and fun fact the instruments used for it were: Arp 2600 modular Keyboard Eminent Organ Minimoog Putney VCS 3 sound mixer Moog Liberation Portable keyboard Moog one Keyboard Theremin
OMg ! You Popped Off man Now THAT Was aBlast Too THE PPPAAASSSSTTTT! Seemed like that was so much fun loved the beginning transition phew that was a clean unique funny that's what makes a video great 😊
I made the choice of buying the Yamaha shs-300 as a first keytar, which is great but I think I need something a bit bigger mainly because the amount that I can play is crippled by the small amount of keys the shs-300 has. Point is, I desperately want a AX edge
great video but just one doubt ..do I need passive speakers or active speakers to conect and play my Roland?? I'll appreciate someone reply me .. t-you =)
Cool. I got the same keytar but in black. My videos are mosty metal and video game covers. Never thought using the Roland AX Edge for 80's synth stuff 🤔
oxygene by Jean Michelle Jarre was 1976, so not an 80's riff. This is one of those albums that even if you haven't heard it, you have. And it was the inspiration for everything that came after it. well worth the listen after all these years. muse - knights of cydonia is 2006.
It's my life goal to have a keytar and be able the play the first song you played exactly the same way. If I don't accomplish that goal I'll die unhappy💀
Ok I know this is a stupid question and no-one will answer this but what's this song that goes " I like it " and then it's a bit that sounds like some high notes on a keytar. Please if someone can help
This video sent me over the damn edge into “purchase this now”
Me too :)
like mamma:NOW...
@Scadster's World Have you heard of this? ruclips.net/video/_dVLQaz-Y6g/видео.html
Im fucking Close... But i will never use it. But it is so fucking cool

I mean, it combines the 2 best things from the 70s and 80s. Sick guitars and funky synths
Hard rock / borderline metal fan here saying go for it brother ! Nothing wrong with learning to play different styles and instruments
Update? It’s been 2 years, have you learned yet?
elevate your status from average keyboard player to living rock god with the purchase of a Roland Edge Keytar
It's like an instant power up!
Pretty much 😁
Never knew i would want something like this so badly.
I can't play any instruments and probably never will but this still makes me want to buy one.
2nd
SAME HERE
Me too
not to discourage you but piano keyboard and keytar are one of the most difficult to learn
I dropped almost $1300 total for one of these just to play ONE song in our band…😅 WORTH IT!!!!
its like an 80s Tony Stark look
2020: Ironman
1980: Chromedude
it all makes sense now
“Do you play piano or guitar?”
PMKTV:
“Yes.”
Idk but with the glasses you look like a Drunk Robert Downy Jr
Definitely the best version
🤣🤣
Maybe he is
Shit you right
Or the results if Robert Downy Jr and Chris Evens had a baby
Just ordered myself a keytar, looks kind of stupid and super cool at the same time! Can't wait for it to arrive
🤣
which one did you get?
Oxygene by Jean Michael Jarre is from the 70s
My heart will go on with Celine Dion is from the 90s
Knights of Cydonia by Muse is from the 00s
And take on me is from...?
@@Threshroge the 80s
true. and oxy wasn't even close to original groundbreaking composition but I had fun and I hope you too :)
Welp. I officially require more keytar music in my life.
Today I learned that "Axel F" predates Crazy Frog.

Proud to say that as of 24/01/20 I'm now the owner of a Roland AX-Edge Keytar purchased from PMT Leeds.
Thank you so much Sam for inspiring me!
1:25 R.I.P. Eddie... nice tribute!
That beginning riff was stuck in my head. 80s keytar brought me here.
This was truly an amazing job done from start to finish. I was astonished by your performance 👏 hats off, mate.
The keyboard tie really brings the look together.
Walk of life is an all time classic.
Brilliant! Love it. My old hero the late George Duke used to play the keytar. 😀😀😀
I need full versions of these covers, because this is awesome.
LOL. I want a Keytar! I put one on my Amazon Wishlist. I LOVE 80's Synth!
Fantastic, loved this - loved the tie and trainers too! Awesome :)
Oh, and no-one does 80s cheese better than Roland in my opinion!!
This video deserves more views
Something i did not know i needed but did

Awesome video man!
I always wanted to play the keytar man one day I will
I'll tell you the keytar is the most coolest instrument on the planet
Two years later, this video made me buy an AX-Edge for my birthday
So I drunkenly search for keytar and came across this gem. SUBBED FOR LYFE MATE
I made the choice of buying the Yamaha shs-300 as a first keytar, which is great but I think I need something a bit bigger mainly because the amount that I can play is crippled by the small amount of keys the shs-300 has. Point is, I desperately want a AX edge
Ive always wanted one but they're so damn expensive
great video but just one doubt ..do I need passive speakers or active speakers to conect and play my Roland?? I'll appreciate someone reply me .. t-you =)
Oxygene pt4, my favourite!
Cool. I got the same keytar but in black. My videos are mosty metal and video game covers. Never thought using the Roland AX Edge for 80's synth stuff 🤔
I have to buy one now!
2:02 Sounds like something I'd hear in a DOS Dungeon Crawler.

Abraham Cottrill description say mostly 80s so he’s well aware
One, you forgot Ghostbusters theme 🤣. Two, amazing Muse cover, even if only for a minute.🤟

I almost bought one of these, but I seriously don't need a keytar, they sound dope though

I’m thinking just how much you gotta shred to be able to play one of these. Roxy is my favorite as well.
Amazing
I need a keytar. And I need this to be my life.
Fantastic videooo
You just know that no matter when we invent time travel, everyone will be going back to the eighties. That's not even a debate 😅
Oh yeah I loved this
Muse is the one not from the 80’s. That particular song released in 2006
Hey bro this video was really cool can you do 2 segundo part of in with hip hop and R&B too thank you
Que Zipote de video! Gracias por educarnos :)
that was excellent!
can you make a tutorial of how you played the first song? I just got a Roland keytar myself and I would love to learn how to play like that!

Problem is that there isn’t much going on with the left hand... (control lightshow, maybe?)
this here is why I want a keytar lol
I need the full version of that Muse song!!!!
Is it hard to learn to play this?
It's my life goal to have a keytar and be able the play the first song you played exactly the same way. If I don't accomplish that goal I'll die unhappy💀
Someone should reinforce it so it can be used as a weapon. Crush your enemies may your melody be theme of their funeral.
Dude you would make a sick ass band
So cool👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

The Knights of Cyndonia was amazing
Hehehe. Thanks for this :) I needed a smile :) Best Regards!
do you have the sheet music?
Did the first riff have to be in brown note key?
Pretty bad ass!
Knights of cydonia, released in the 2000s and its not a keytar riff
