I'm happy to see this video. I can relate as I haven't used conditioner in around 4-5 years, but I also do not use deep conditioner. Personally, I find that it strips my hair. With that being said, I wash my hair and use a very rich moisturizer/sealant to lock in moisture. I save money and time and my hair still grows as normal. Great video and I wish everyone the best on their personal natural hair journey!
I haven’t used conditioner in over a year. I use $1.00 suave shampoo from the dollar tree, and air dry. I do put a very small drop of argan oil on my ends to make combing easy. As I comb through my hair the oil spreads throughout. My hair has grown to below the middle of my back and is silky smooth. I don’t have dry ends and have gone 6 months recently without clipping my ends. People tell me how shiny and healthy my hair is every now and then. And I save a lot of money.
I'm not a beauty girlie and always kept things simple, so I didn't use rinse out after wash conditioner until I was in my mid 20s. I could go a month without washing my hair without it turning greasy even with deep conditioning and moisturizing...until I started using conditioner. The water and my habits didn't change, all that did was that I used conditioner. I blamed my hormones and "just getting older" but when I stopped bothering with the conditioner during Covid , I stopped having greasy hair.
Thank you for clearing this up, I only ever purchased a deep conditioner though always wondered if it was enough... Glad to know I'm not the only one. 😉
I dont use conditioner for few months now. I have fine hair and conditioner only weighs my hair dawn and they look greasy in less than 24hrs. My ponytail look like death worm. No volume. This everything was fixed just by quitting conditioner. Because my hair are fine I don’t have any problems to brush them. No knots. Gained some volume and washing hair every 3 days
@@user-gc3rv6jw3n I use hair mask only once every few weeks as that is weighing the hair even more. I prefer using rinsing vinegar every other hair wash. I use yves rocher. It leaves my hair smooth, shiny and lightweight 🙂 wouldn’t change my hair routine for anything
going to try this with my daughter. She has loose thick curls but I notice conditioner weighs her hair down too and makes it incredibly frizzy. I'll do a natural protien treatment once a month with egg and mayo to keep her hair strong but other than that, i'll be using just shampoo, leave-in and a bonding oil..easy peasy..
Conditioner is a waste of money and time...it does not do anything for natural hair....it's just build up product....plus my hair is always so oily and itchy after i use it
Thank you for this video. Can you please do a video on coconut free products, I have developed an allergy towards coconut derived products and also have limited knowledge on products in S. A🙏❤️
robyn lawrence yes please deep condition every week. Brands use words like deep conditioner, mask and treatment. This step is done every week: make sure you know if you using protein or moisture during this step

Thanks- missing the conditioner step doesn’t do any harm at all
do you just use oils to lock in moisture on clean damp hair?

Hi, thanks. How often do you wash your hair? :-)

@@mchobbit2951 sometimes it can be heavy on hair and it’s extra product

sometimes conditioner can weigh hair down.
Great, I am going to try it. Do you use also no hairmask or something? Just shampoo only? ;) Hope to hear

I usually use conditioner as my pre-poo and detangling step before for I shampoo my hair but I don't condition and then deep condition
Maxine I skip steps where I can. Iv started pre-pooing again after years.
I haven’t used conditioner since I went natural. Only deep conditioner.
Rochelle Africa thanks for sharing, glad it’s a step you miss and your hair loves it
I also don't use rinse out conditioner... What protein treatment do you recommend? I've jst been using rice water as a protein treatment once a month
Samantha Terblanche most protein treatments are okay to use. I like the SM JBCO treatment
Hi Raquel.. how many times a month do you do a protein treatment on your hair?
Amenda Morris once a
Month. This months Masterclass is on protein and moisture
Is a deep condition something you do on every wash day? Is a deep condition the same as a masque?
