Great job guys. Sorry for your recent troubles, drunk driver and marauding dear, glad to see you're able to start putting things back together. My dad put a cattle guard on his pick-up for his forays to the county side. Stay safe.❤
I doubt that your average Ford dealership could have completed that task as expertly as you did. And it would have taken them much longer because the shop guide would have called for 16 hours labor. And at $150. Or more per hour you’re talking some bucks. Great job Colt and associates.
Good morning you and your family now they are my favorite video to watch I love that you are putting inscription from the Bible and is so important be so grateful to God
Man that is some terrible luck. Glad you and your wife are ok. Excellent how to for a quick and dirty away from home repair. Keep up the great videos! Love this channel.
My son hit a nice 8 point white tail coming out of a church parking lot. I hit a doe at 4:00am on my way to work 1/4 mile from home. My other son hit a deer with his Cadillac. $10,000 insurance claim. We live on a golf course and see deer almost daily. My wife has not hit one with her suv but they eat every flower I she plants. The joys of country living.
Very nice! Awesome job on fixing the truck. I really like that black grill! Looks way cooler than the silver/chrome one! So sorry you had to go through all of that. Thank you for sharing
Between drunks and deer you’ve had an interesting trip. Hit 2 deer before, luckily both were low speed impacts and no damage occurred. Thanks for the video!
Great video Colt! Lovin' the new channel! Great insight and content for us shade tree mechanics... and ford owners! Only deer I have ever hit was with my 89' F250 with a 9' Meyers snow plow... all I saw was her hooves go by as I slung her off the road... got it mostly shut down before I got to her, but enough to relocate her off the road. I got stopped in time for her to stand up and look at me like, "Dude... I'm walkin' here!!!" Then she bounded off into the forest none the worse for wear... Thanks again for the great content!!! Keep it up!!!
Hi I am very happy you keep coming back because I really love your show and I really love when you fix up your car 🚗 and trucks 🚚 🛻 great job I will always praying for you and your wife and your family and friends 🙏 ok please 🙏 be 🙏 safe ok and please 🙏 be 🙏 careful out there ok 🙏 I have been watching 👀 all of your show ok you really do a great job keep up the good work ok you have a wonderful day and have a good night and day ok love Lorilee xoxoxoxox
I watched my brother "rebuild" the front end of my sisters 76 Dodge Dart after a deer strike. Lot's of sledgehammer work, soldering the rad and it was back on the road.
Great to see you back at home. You (as always) put out another impressive show today. There are many Ford owners out there who need constant help! The new bumper will help a little, stay safe!
I hit a 4 point buck with my 2000 Silverado He was so big his head rapped around the side and his rack dented my drivers side fender. All I had to replace was the Trans cooler! Built Ford Tuff as a Coors Can!
1st, glad ur both fine , 2nd, as an Oregonian, those trails looked amazing, heading to Sisters soon .. 3rd, the Deer Slayer black out looks good .. God Bless
Great job guys . I love the new bumper and grill at the end of your video. We have to be careful where we live in Northern Utah because of the deer that roam our neighborhoods especially at night. We can hear them at night waling around and making all the vocal sounds that they make. But with that we also have to watch out for mountain lions as well. Take care guys and catch you on your next video.
Superglue and baking soda can make some fairly strong repairs. The baking soda instantly cures the Superglue, use liquid, glue first and then layer as needed.
Good show M. Colt - 2012 Ford up or not, all the information is applicable for a "deer operation" on any vehicle. God bless, and Thank you for bringing us along!
Colt, it MAY be too late by the time you see this but while in Oregon, go to "BuckStop" bumpers & pick you out a deer killer bumper. I have one on my Dodge Ram & it's saved me from Several Deer and a bear.
I changed an AutoZone water pump every year while in the mountains deer hunting for 3 year's on the 4th year i actually bought a new one from napa and took it with me just so i didn't have to get a ride back to Evanston to get a new one it never went out again.
Watching and Coming from Australia which is a Metric country. I notice you speak snd use Metric Tools. When did the US move across from the good ol ( what we used to call) Imperial / AF to Metric.
Crazy how much damage a deer hit can cause. In my 60 years of driving in Minnesota and the Dakotas I'm proud to say I've never hit a deer. However, a few have hit me.
Welcome to Oregon Colt. This a common issue as there are lots of deer here. I have taken the same hit to the front of my Toyota and the most skilled driver can not avoid them.
Breaking down on a road trip stressful. Gallup New Mexico at Christmas and snowing . No charging system working, after driving through the night from Kingman Az..
If you are in the willamette valley in Oregon, and hit another deer reach out, I can give you a hand from Eugene to Salem! The deer here are crazy! All in the open till October!! (Deer season)
Looks great Colt. I've always have said it may be made in China but an American has to remanufacture it to make it work. I still believe China sends the USA their defects. I know it's difficult to not just make your videos on the road but to edit or insert but there is a correction that needs to be addressed in your verse at the end of your video. "Two are better than one because THEY have a good reward for their labor". Let's hope the tow hooks on the front bumper stand up to the abuse you'll give them. It's going to look even better when you get the winch and Yankum Fairlead and Yankum synthetic winch line installed on the front bumper.
First, real life video, the best kind. Second, having good friends is a blessing. Third, you and Shannon need to stay out of Oregon! There are too many drunk drivers and crazy deer. Glad that everyone was OK (minus the deer, of course).
Here in rural Lane County, Oregon, there are 2 kinds of drivers. Those who have hit deer and those that are going to hit deer. in 47 years. I've hit eight deer two survived. 6 got butcheted and ended up feeding us. Even when you are hyper vigilant, they will surprise you.
I hate cleaning syrup out of my rig. Last time it was bunny syrup out of the Fiesta - at 90, the front chin spoiler thingy is kinda.. french revolution.
Might be a good time to invest in a bull bar/ grill guard bought one for my Duramax one mine after I bought it from the dealer and bam I hit t2 deer simultaneously saved my truck frm serious damage
With 35 years experience in manufacturing Mechanical and Heavy Collision. I didn't finish. But if you ever need assistance in the restoration process I am your Dude❤😂🤔👍🤙🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
kajigger muh frigasaker, Homie... i tapped a deer hard enough to brake a tooth out of the grill in the girlfriends king ranch expedition and the insurance totaled it, 6 more payments to go... in the fall time you've got to try hard to keep your speed down in these parts
@ About 18:30 ish, who cares if the box has a hole in it, bring the item out and let the customer decide if they are willing to take the part. Then it's on the customer and not the store.
Which bumper did you use. 2012 F250, most after market winch bumpers stick out too far. Look at a hidden winch mount, but the 2012 is over $600! (the 2020 is only $200???) why? Love your continent.
Beware of the kamikaze deer. First on a doe jumped out in front of my JK bent a 3/16 winch bumper, broke the grill, coolers, upper radiator support and driver’s side fender. Number two hit me in the driver side fender, not much more than a walk. Just turned on to the highway saw him coming watched him walk into the side of my JK. Number three I never saw I was driving a friends f150 it hit the driver’s door put a big dent into the door and down the box side 😢
Colt, I bought the same bumper for my Silverado. I had to cut, grind and curse to make it fit also.😂
When it's all said and done the front end looks better now. 👍 🏁
Thank you Colt and friend for the update getting your truck fixed !
Great job guys. Sorry for your recent troubles, drunk driver and marauding dear, glad to see you're able to start putting things back together. My dad put a cattle guard on his pick-up for his forays to the county side. Stay safe.❤
On the brighter side look at all the labor costs you saved. Glad all came out safe from that ordeal with the drunk and deer. Thanks for sharing.
Enjoying the verses during/at the end of the videos. Keep up the great content.
Glad you like them!
The new bumper looks far better than the original .
Nice video thanks for taking the time to share with us .
Thanks for watching!
At the end of the video...
Love the new bumper and lights.
I concur. I also like the contrast.

I got a small kids pool from the dollar store to drain radiators. Works well. Little tech tip

The thumbnail got me laughing! Great video, glad everyone is okay.

Amazing how cheap they make pickup front ends.
Nice to meet you both at Kate's and Graeme's place. That new bumper should help the next time you come to Central Oregon.
Next time!
I've ordered condensor and radiator from RockAuto that were double boxed way better than Autoparts store packaging.

@@coltbuildsit You got it buddy! Looking forward to your next video
Good advice, add Deerslayer before the trip 👍😎✊

Appreciate that scripture passage this morning!
Any time!
I can’t believe the luck you had there. Hopefully, things go better for you.
Colt, it MAY be too late by the time you see this but while in Oregon, go to "BuckStop" bumpers & pick you out a deer killer bumper. I have one on my Dodge Ram & it's saved me from Several Deer and a bear.
Truck looks good now. Thx for the video
The new grill n bumper looks better than OEM. I feel for you on going through it. I got to go through that with multiple times in one year.
I changed an AutoZone water pump every year while in the mountains deer hunting for 3 year's on the 4th year i actually bought a new one from napa and took it with me just so i didn't have to get a ride back to Evanston to get a new one it never went out again.
Glad to see your back!
Watching and Coming from Australia which is a Metric country. I notice you speak snd use Metric Tools. When did the US move across from the good ol ( what we used to call) Imperial / AF to Metric.
There's still plenty of bolts that are imperial standard but the front of this Ford just happened to be all Metric😉👍
That's wild that you hit a deer filled with strawberry syrup I wonder if his friends called him jellyroll.
I can’t stop staring at Colts only fan 😎
What is that thing people used to say about Matt, oh yeah "IT IS ALL STAGED" well, that deer was a paid actor!!! n_n
I literally had people on Casey's video saying that also, haha.
@@coltbuildsit couple times when my comments got up voted on matt's, people would go out of their way to let me know how "fake" it all was.

Great video Colt. It was entertaining and informative! 👍
Appreciate it!
Your methods of removal are WAY BETTER than mine. I generally use the "Oh Shit" method when removing clips and the like.
oh shit, broke another one...
I LOVE the new bumper.
All repairs are @Robbylayton approved........
Glad ur all safe!!
Colt remember when life hands you deer you make DEER JERKY!!! 😅
It's like he-Haw if it weren't for bad luck I l'd have no luck at all😂😂😂
Wstchout!!!!! Colt looks angry swinging that hammer.

Syrp deer must have been eating pancakes or waffles when he dove in front of ya.
Welcome the 4corner states. Where you need to invest in a cattle guard or make one. Imagine a elk slamming into the front. Be safe out there.
You are brave, not filling the antifreeze before putting the condensor and stuff in, would have sucked if the Auto-Bone one leaked
Colt, also Fixes it! Do what ya have ta do. Thanks
We typically hit one a year in Michigan.

With it that far apart, I'm surprised you didn't replace the water pump. They are notorious for water pump failure.

great as always great content very entertaining
Much appreciated

ODFW is going to require you to travel with deer tags in the glove compartment, and you can only drive it in October and November
Nice way to get a new bumper, update the cooling system and put some venison in the freezer.
THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO
That sucks you hit a deer, but what a great opportunity for an impromptu shop video!
Screw it down. Dont screw it up!!! 😂😂😂
new channel.... Colt fixes it. LOL
The topkick would have kept right on trucking 😂
Maybe🤷♂️

Crash by beer, crash by deer. As it seems, it's not safe here. 🎉
You look like Robby straightening out that bumper or maybe hillbilly!
Beware of the kamikaze deer.

No ac! Youre definitely from Farmington! 😂
Hope you got the air working
Does Graeham have a youtube channel we can give love to?😊😊😊
Today is called, Colt rebuilds it
Guessing you didn't have full coverage insurance on the truck?
How much did all that cost you?
Aussie style brush guard or something deer proof is needed?
Well the damage, delay and cost are no fun.... but a good excuse for upgrades!
✌️
Good thing you did not hit an elk. They're right there in that same neighborhood. I know where you were, and yeah, they thick
Venison dinner. Yummy.
