- Dr. William Fearon, professor of cardiovascular medicine at the Stanford University Medical Center, shares new research that indicates not all coronary arteries that appear to be narrowed need stenting. New research offers a technique to help determine which patients will benefit from stenting. This new technique holds the possibility of saving more lives with better outcomes and less costs. Learn more about stenting and what the future of this procedure looks like.
Thanks for posting this lecture. Looking for FFR information and this was perfect. Dr. Fearon did a great presentation!
I cant tell how old this presentation is because it has no date on it. Im scheduled for a Nuclear Treadmill test next week to determine if i need a stent in my right coronary artery which has been blocked for many years, but has not been a problem due to what the Cardio called collateral circulation. I had heart attack 24 years ago and had angioplasty but no stent in my left anterior descending artery and have never had a problem with it to date. I plan to get a 2nd op if he wants to do a stent because i am almost 81 and have moderately high blood pressure and fairly well controlled Type 2 Diabetes. Wondering what the status currently is in re FFR technique of evaluating need for stents. Excellent presentation...very timely for me and helpful.
Thank-you one of the most informative simplified version very good
I just found this channel 2/13/2021, and thought this doctor covered and explained things in a manor that was composed super intelligently, by making everyone that watched this video be able to comprehend, and understand every major point he was trying to make, in clarity.
No pun intended, but I would take him as my cardiologist and surgeon in a heartbeat.
So from 2010 to now, in 2021, I can't imagine how much more Dr. Fearon has advanced in this field.
Interesting.
Take Vitamins K2 , vitamin D3 and magnesium with meals .This pushes the calcium into the proper areas . It takes the calcium out of your blood stream And out of your joints . ( Arthritic joints )
Excellent explanation! Thank you very much.

What the source of your information?
It is not cited for chart.
Newer research shows that Insulin resistance from eating too many carbs is way more important than cholesterol levels. See Ivor Cummins.
Is Drug Eluting Stent absorbed by Artery body? and How long it take to be Absorbed?
The preferred "method" is ALWAYS more expensive.
Ya I'll tell ya Why "Other" plaguing exists, the main culprit Is Calcification of all the Vasculatures = Arteries - veins - capillaries - all organs, including the brain, even the eyes - all connective tissue - ligaments - muscles - cartilage - joints, Creating stiffness & inflamation literally every where throughout thee entire body , ( SO cholesterol is Only Part of the problem, though a Very important part - Dietary changes Can help reverse the disease (not per say the damages depending on how extreme the damages are, but the disease Can be reversed through a dedicated committed diet & life style change) So, IF calcium is not allowed to run rampant throughout the body - the k2-mk7 bonds to the calcium" - the mk7 means it's the best absorption, Without k2-mk7 to round it up & take it into the bone where it's Suppose to go, And, k2-mk7 Without d3 is is almost useless, d3 helps the body to absorb the k2 & also liberates calcium from the stomach, so people of All ages All over the planet Are plaguing, thin or heavy makes no difference, young - old makes no difference, please reference Dr. Jamnadas of Florida a cardiologist of 31 years & a Medical Doctor for 50 years, he is right here on youtube, Exceedingly interesting & the way he breaks it all down, I'm hooked & have so far learned tons from him, I Respect this man immensely & can't thank him enough for Self-lessly sharing his superior knowledge & expert skills that he takes time to bring to us ..His presentations are fascinating to say the least, he even explains why we Need healthy Fats *Not Low Fats
....my mother has arteriosclerosis & has recently had a stent put in & I'm extremely leery learning about the complications it presents. You're gonna Love Dr. Jamnadas, I do - Here's his channel -

Dont wait till hits over 70 % can close fast at that point
Yea but medicine is not gonna stop the blockage from closing right up
This is all very old information.
