    The early line of Small One being "good enough to be a king's stable" is such a clever bit of forshadowing once you think about how he probably ended up in the same stable that Jesus was born in.

    The Auctioneer was definitely the villain this animated cartoon. The Roman Guard was more evil than the Tanner because while the latter was only doing his job and was polite and honest with the Boy, the former intended to have Small One killed when he instructed the Boy to go to the Tanner’s shop. From 19:15 to 19:17, that was similar to when the knights laughed in the jousting tournament in Sword in the Stone.

    • @rubeniscool
      @rubeniscool 3 года назад +6

      I've not seen the sword in the stone in years but it's very likely those were recycled scenes (with appearances changed obvs). In the same way that the boy is literally mowgli from the Jungle Book. Obviously back in the day when things were hand animated, it was very common to save money by reusing animations; you'd paint characters to look different but you'd save time by doing so over existing frames from previous productions.

    • @Reshme77

He admitted he followed all of the Mosaic Law, but he didn't want to be charitable with his money. He's not saying we shouldn't enjoy our money, but it can be very easy to let money take over us to the point we aren't charitable, plus with money it's easy to not be dependent on God like many did back then. Think it was for the best for them all. Money trouble you know. And overall the donkey did get a good master in the end.

    And there were in the same country Shepards abiding in the fields keeping watch over there flock by night and low an angel of the lord came upon them and the glory of the lord shown round about them and they were soar afraid and the angel said unto them fear not! For behold I bring you tidings of great joy which shall be a message unto all people! For unto you is born this day in the city of David a savior which is Christ the lord! And this shall be a sign unto you! Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger. And there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying glory to God in the highest and on earth peace and good will toward men!
