    The sad thing is she was graped but she took mad heat for the swinging. She was blackout drunk(unable to consent), had an emotional affair that escalated into this and then blamed herself for it. I feel like that aspect is really glossed over due to the salaciousness of the swinging.

      I agree with you. It feels so typically patriarchal/Mormon, that she sees herself as a "perpetrator" in the cheating incident, that she was too drunk to consent to and as a "victim" of her own ipv attacks against Dakota. It's too sad how up is down and down is up in communities like these.

      @@NealaGRight? Describing herself as being "very messed up" down there is a concerning way to describe. Was she in pain?! What did this *sshole even do to her?!

    Well all know that she is the only reason many people watched the show. What her best friend's husband did to her is truly vile. Whether she wanted it or not, she was drunk out of her mind that night. I acknowledge that she made a lot of mistakes, and I will hold her accountable for them. One of the more serious allegations is that she supposedly hurt her child when she threw a chair at Dakota, who is a red flag in his own right-though not particularly intelligent, he still raises concerns.

    • @ammyrobinson9171
      @ammyrobinson9171  Месяц назад +10

      Yesss! Hearing her say that she was pretty messed up down there and that’s how she knew, was very saddening to hear 😞 first time I’d heard it! She says that they still aren’t totally sure if the chair hit her or not (to my understanding), regardless that wasn’t a good look - however I believe her when she says she’s made steps to change and be a better mum for her kids x

    • @aenlen
      @aenlen Месяц назад +3

      @@ammyrobinson9171 And I want to believe her! She doesn't shy away from her mistakes; she acknowledges that she has messed up quite a bit. However, I can see aspects of her that resonate with my own experiences too when I was a young woman ( or younger) . When she spoke about her fear of being vulnerable-how it hurts so much more when someone betrays that vulnerability-it really struck a chord with me. Unless it was just good acting, she was okay on the show, especially considering everything she has been through.

    When i was younger i was graped and it took me a YEAR to admit i was raped to myself. I can completely relate to taylor saying she doesn’t count it as grape, but that doesn’t change the fact that she was too blacked out to consent and only knows because her privates were messed up. That actually sounds pretty violent and aggressive.
    Trigger warnings 👇🏼
    I had an ex who i agreed to stay platonic friends with, i had a cold and he forced me to drink an entire bottle of whiskey against my will “because its the same thing they put in cough syrup” and i knew alcohol was in cough syrup but i had never had cough syrup before, and never been drunk before. He said he was trying to help and i didn’t want the whiskey but i didn’t see it any different than my mom forcing me to drink pepto as a kid when i was sick. When i got assaulted i was too blacked out to stop it and just cried the whole time asking to stop. A few days later i asked why he didn’t stop when i started to remember parts of it and he claimed he didn’t hear me or notice by crying “its not grape its just a miscommunication” and fully had me convinced just for the fact i didn’t want it to be real and wasn’t mentally ready to accept it. We stayed friends because we had a friend group and later i told him i know he said it wasn’t on purpose but i really feel like it was. He immediately had the most dramatic crying fit and threatened to unalive himself. One of my highschool teachers had told my class if someone threatened that to believe them, and if we didn’t do everything we could to stop them that we would be responsible and potentially legally responsible. So i didn’t press it and i figured if he was so sorry about what he did to me then he definitely would never do it to someone else ever again, so no harm in not reporting it or telling anyone.
    As an adult i know it was premeditated because he forced me to drink an entire whisky bottle, and i know that his threats and crying was manipulation to make me feel bad for him and never tell. And i am so disappointed that it worked. I don’t blame myself for not reporting but i always wonder that he probably did do it to someone after me and probably used the same guilt tactics on them because it worked so well on me. Ugh. ANYWAY 😅

      Explaining isn't always excusing. Chemical imbalance in a body is a diagnosable medical condition - if a man had a brain condition which made him more susceptible to angry or violent outbursts, I would have compassion and understanding of his condition without excusing the actions and still hold him responsible. It's the same energy for this lady, I have compassion, I understand, she's holding herself accountable and I'm not ignoring or conveniently forgetting the fact that this has happened. No need to call her repugnant imo.

    I don't know what happened in your life but you shouldn't find excuses for someone who cheated on her husband, wrecked another marriage, was violent with her boyfriend and nearly hurt her own kids in the process. She is not a good person and no, being drunk, having hormonal imbalance, being depressed or Mormon excuse nothing. The woman is a grown up woman not a teenager. She is a mother too. There was rules in their swinging relationship. The major one was, not having sex behind close doors with another man. It means that her husband should have been there. She broke the rules. She had fum with this married man and went there drunk knowing that she would have sex with him. Blaming after everything on the fact that she was drunk is too easy. I bet that she made sure to be drunk that night to have an excuse the day after. Saying I didn't remember what I did the night before because I was too drunk id unlikely too. Blacking out because of alcohol is extremely rare and usually you have memories. Even people who were under drug rape have pieces of memories. So come on bring me a break 🙄 The woman is a liar and play victim because it's her way to get away with the backclash that she got with the DV and capitalise on the buzz. Nothing is genuine and you are really not smart for falling for her act.
    Stop bringing the religion and talking about her guilt because of that. Does she looks like someone who cares about religion? Someone who drink and swing with her friends? Does it seems the behaviour of someone who cares about religion? And why the hell are you normalising swinging? There are many cultures where this is normal? Really? Which ones? This is freak behaviour. Let alone the religion this is not something that people should do. There is nothing right especially when you are the mother of young kids by drinking and having sex with different people in orgies or whatever. For me Taylor is just a woman who is too immature. She just want to have fun, live for attention. She is the kind of person who is not made to be a wife or a mother and I'm sad for her kids. It was even more irresponsible from her to bring another kid into the world after all the drama.
    She herself says that she let her husband take care of the kids because she doesn't want to have them with her. She threw a chair at her boyfriend and it has hurt her kid that she said hasn't see in the room. Like you don't see your kid in the middle of the night in the room when you are having an argument? 🙄
    I let you watch the bodycam taken by the police that night.
    The woman is messy and should not be encouraged in her destructive behaviour. Period.
