On the news I keep hearing that more and more farmers are leaving the country and I know this sounds terrible but maybe those farm prices will drop enough to actually make investing in a farm a viable business venture for people like me, so I really want to learn more about it.

Dillon you can say that again. Sad but true. It's going to be Zimbabwe 2.0 in certain places. Now some of the blacks are doing well, I'm not trying to disparage anyone over the color of their skin, but stating a fact - the government seizing the farms and nationalizing it invalidates the bank note because the farmer's are stripped of what we in America call a land deed or title. So the banks and investors won't loan any money because of what the stupid government is doing. And just as in Zimbabwe, eventually sanctions will be placed against south Africa, and the blacks and leftist will claim the sanctions are the reason for the failure of the whole situation. But it's furthest from the truth. The whole reason for the sanctions in the first place is because you cannot just go in and throw people off their land and confiscate their farm equipment! That crap don't fly in the real world. I mean, some farmer's were still paying a mortgage payments, and had loans taken out for their equipment. Well those bank notes are in default now, and not too many people or banks will loan so further investment can be made in the land. Because the crazy government ruined that for black and white!
