I loved this sweet video! I really got emotional seeing all the lush green spring and early summer landscapes while sitting in this all brown and crusty European summer. Did you like the shoes you got in the beginning? Did they keep up with all the walking?
I can only recommend to buy good shoes. Lowa and Meindl are really good brands. But let a salesman give you advise. At the shops where i buy my shoes they take a look at your feet and how you walk.
Im currently 3% into lands end to john o groats. Lotr will be my next challenge, tempted to put a lotr playlist together to listen too whilst hiking 😂.
Awesome job. I have just started LOTR challenge. I hope my medals come in the same type box yours did. My previous medals were just in a folded over cover, not an actual box.
Brilliant video, I am almost done with The Shire, I was tracking the progress using my FitBit Sense steps but noticed the sync with the app was doing more distance then I'd have actually completed. So switched to Strava and now getting a more precise reading of my journey, love the medals, thanks for sharing! :)

@@tamarunitamaruni4724 Strava is a GPS fitness tracker for tracking your out door events, the Conqueror challenges does come with an app but doesn't use any GPS which is why I suggest Strava. The fitness watches do have GPS but my Fitbit Sense 2 was only uploading steps done to the Conqueror app and was giving inaccorate readings. Strava connects to the app, everytime you use Strava to track your walks/runs it will upload that distance to the app automatically and update your progress, once you are done with one even you request your award. You can buy all 5 challenges for Lord of the rings which is cheaper or do one at a time, more expensive but you can then go at your own pace which is what I am doing, I have done 3 so far within a 3 month period but have stopped while I am busy decorating house. And yes once you have finished the required steps for a medal, the conqueror app tells you this and you just fill in your address to receive the medal! Hi Meg. A quick one for you. On the website there are several options - 39.99 quid for a challenge + medal and a bundle for 160. Which one should I grab if I want to go all the way from Shire to Mordor? Cause it's a bit confusing.
Hey! The Bundle starts with Shire and ends at Mordor, so the £160 would get you that (can’t find the price I paid but I’m sure it was around that price so sounds about right.) 😊
@@diablodima with just walking (as I think some of them you can choose to bike as well), mine was 660 miles total. Can be higher if you decide to select the longer miles with includes bike riding and whatnot 😊
Do the miles continue through each challenge along the way or does your mileage restart with each challenge? Which leads to my other question.. If i Buy one at a time rather than all 5 in the bundle, would that be the reason it didnt continue if it does in fact count forward progress?
So each challenge is it’s own mileage,so for example if you did a set of two, one that’s 10 miles and the other that’s 20 miles, once you hit 10 miles it will complete and then you can start the next one. How I tend to do it is near the end I use however many steps required to complete first one then use the rest on the second one (if that makes sense!)
Exercise is free of course, you don’t have to buy medals and then track on the app. For me I loved the look of the medals plus I felt a sense of accomplishment at the end when I finished one of the challenges and earn a medal for my hard work!
I wanna do this so bad, but I don’t have the money for it or the confidence to go on long walks alone with a toddler, especially near streets. 🥲 I would probably take me over a year to complete.
Ah yes I can understand how that would be difficult; I would say maybe start with small steps! Don’t need to buy the package to get walking, perhaps start with a smaller goal of hitting a step target in a day, even if it’s just around the house! And then you could branch out into walking outside etc 😄 And sometimes it’s not about the end goal, it’s to enjoy the journey towards it! That’s how I try to think of it at least if I’m demotivated ❤️
