I ❤ My Trendy and bought it maybe 3 years ago, It is a popular one and think it's now become a classic. Just like the Classic flap I suppose its how you wear it and make it unique to you X
The trendy is just an example, it was more of the fact it was super hard to get old of and then became super saturated on social media. Other wise, the new season pieces are too easy to get. You see something on the runway and you simple go into chanel when ever (the collection is released) and buy it whenever. There is no more making an order, no excitement and no exclusivity. Before anyone could get these pieces, you didn’t need to be special or “rich”. There was just a process that made us feel exclusive, luxury service, exciting etc that’s not longer. I’m also spending thousands of something that will be everywhere. Just my personal opinion when it comes to all the pieces released.

What’s your thoughts on the extreme chanel price increases up to 25% especially at this time during a pandemic it’s very insensitive when people are losing their jobs and worried for their health it shows Chanel is so out of touch. Their prices do not match the quality, they’re prices are near Hermes prices up to 7k+ for a bag they will never compete with Hermes. Every luxury brand I know Dior, Burberry, Ferrari you name any luxury brand they done amazing things to help during this time with the virus turning their factories into places to make masks or ventilator machines.... what did chanel do? I think the brands quality is bad, prices ridiculous, store atmosphere unpleasant, shop assistants rude and the brand ethics and their response to the world and people during challenging times when people are risking their lives everyday to save the lives of others is shocking they have not made a difference to the world and lack any compassion
If I had to choose between the price increase or them fixing their customer service 1000% I would rather them fix their customer service bc it’s ACTUAL trash. The SAs all are just sooo elitist. Dior, Cartier, and GOYARD have AMAZING customer service and they’re just as luxurious.

I love the vintage Chanel bags from the 1990s too. With the exception of the classic flap they really haven't produced any new designs in the past few years that have grabbed my attention. I still prefer the older styles.

It’s not really what fits in inside; it’s more of a feature. They are breathtaking in real life. You could fit lipstick and credit card or lip balm. It is a full on micro classic flap with all the details. I generally want updates from who ever buys it. I think about it everyday. I want it so bad but not realistic for me to buy so much right now. The worst part is, I just know I’ll never find one again.

I wouldn’t go that far personally haha I don’t hate the brand at all. I’ve always had a passion for vintage CHANEL and I love good quality and uniqueness. Exclusivity and outstanding service are also something I expect when I’m paying very high prices.

When I asked why they said it was because it wasn’t a style that many want (vintage from 89) and it just made me love the bag even more🥰 love your videos!!

Just research the collection it’s from. A good seller will be able to tell you the year the piece is from and then you can easily research it

This is a great video! Do you know if the baby pink flap bag is available in the new Chanel season?
No it isn’t available new season, has not been for a while and def isn’t in the next collection. For me it looks the best in this exact tone, the exact leather and the gold hardware. So if they ever do bring back a pastel pink classic flap (which they will) it will prob be caviar skin and most likely silver hardware. They last one they create was chevron, which isn’t classic enough for me. If they do bring it back exactly like this, be prepared to pay between £4/5.5 even £6k! Madness.

That doesn’t bother me at all. I still have to work to support my family so I can wear for work. I also intend to have date nights with Paris even if it is once a year 🤗
I can understand that this comment is not negative and there is no bad intention behind it, but we need to clean the stigma of women not being able to be themselves and not being able to put on nice item or clothes just because they are going to have a baby. Even if the mother needs to change 5 times a day the outfit (or more) we should feel fine in using what we have in out closets and not feel the need to tome down what we wear when a being a new mummy :)
Chelsea M. Not what I meant at all. Not about it being a stigma its the fact that for the first few years its exhausting, exhilarating, happy, sad, joyful and much much more. She will get to enjoy these things again no doubt however the proprieties change, especially first few years. Also ask any new mummy or mother of toddler and you will get the same response about them ripping large, dangly earrings right off the ears 😬

The Pre-loved market will get flooded with people thinking they will get Chanel cheaper not realizing the prelims market will go up to, Chanel holds its price because of regular price increases so in the store price goes up to pre-loved market goes up

Chanel @FarFetch prices has always been exorbitant for what it is. Maybe its better quality or what I dont know...
They often have the rarest pieces. For example the first reveal is literally not anywhere online worldwide and hasn’t been for heads . The price reflects how rare the items are. They are also reliable in terms of authenticity which is very important. I bought this chanel belt bag once from a prestigious pre loved site. The bag was counterfeit and hassle to get my money back. I was lucky to get my money back and this has happened to me twice
With the price increases, you might be on to some thing when you say too many people with the same bag. Are Chanel trying to reduce the number of people wearing the same pieces, by increasing their prices so much?
This is something that crossed my mind too. It’s a quick way to stop what was happening but at the same time they won’t loose money by making less items. They are clearly making more money selling endless pieces so they can’t go backwards. The easiest route is to introduced a huge price increase. With that said, as a long standing customer, I am not prepared to take the risk. I am not prepared to pay 25% more in the hope it’s more exclusive. There is a bit chance they will still produced in seriously high volumes.
Very true, it’s a very risky move in the current climate. Of course their factories being closed, which will have had an impact on supply. But, not a 25% increase in prices when the quality has been declining (the margins must be crazy already). They also missed a trick to sell online. Hermes have been selling online for years and certainly has not taken away from the brands prestige. Of course you can’t buy a Bag new, but Hermes got it, you need to be accessible in some form online. I worry that we will see far more fakes flooding the market. Which takes away the special nature of the bags, I have invested in. That’s what happened to the Chloe Paddington bag back in the early 2000’s!

No I didn’t. I got married in 2015 and there is also nothing wrong at all with waiting that long if I did get married in 2018. That is perfectly normal and so many reasons why people wait. Had a baby, work, saving for a home or literally just no need for a rush.
