Meta is this. One life, death, ice and storm. Life has healing gear, death is the tank as well as the juju spammer, storm gets rid of the minions, and ice uses scion to finish the boss. This strategy will always work as long as you have good teammates.
@@bigfrey1149 In the vid they had a fire wiz, the meta is mainly for speed/efficiency but I bet you can still defeat it with other wizards than the ones stated in this comment, it may just take longer or be more difficult.
5 years later but I wish! I tried this just now and I had a life acting as a hitter instead of healing, a balance wizard who like all balance wizards are too afraid to touch their hit cards, even though he boosts with his damage, and a storm wizard healing with tc cards instead of getting rid of the minions. I was the only one as death actually playing it right. Just ugh
I can relate to the Devourer; I too shriek when confronted with my problems and then OvErLy InHaLe to swallow them away into the deep, dark depths of my soul...

so i still cant determine this so when ever I was on wizard101 I was always called out by players who were way higher lvl than me and took me to lots of boss fights and arena's and group pvp's and it seemed like they always had a plane cause I was always used as the healer and I remember I had sooo many pips it surrounded my character and we won everytime and everyone was so thrilled. idk if they needed a healer in general or if they wanted to be my friends but idk I was happy I was needed ^_^

I think he devourers every 4 rounds IF there are minions. He doesn't devour anyone if the minions are dead unless you flee and come back.
