Hey sweet friend, talking about the potpourri brings back memories of a place in Fredericksburg who always had a couple of wash tubs on stands filled with it and it would have oranges and spices in it. Oh and the smell of Christmas…I can remember it well. Love those magazines and all the memories that come when you talk about them. Lots of fun patterns!
Yes! There are many memories of the potpourri that sat around the house. Love the fall and Christmas ones as well! Thank you for watching dear friend : )
I adore my old magazines! I can't get rid of them--too many pretty things in there. And I'm a sucker for what "we used to stitch" too! These were fantastic resources back in the day. So many sweet, pretty, things to stitch in them. And Carol Emmer designed the most beautiful faces on her Santas.
Hey sweet lady!! Another fun look at an oldie but goodie. I have several Leisure Arts magazines but not this one. Was it raffia? Thats what we called that weird stuff. I think.🤔 Have a great stitching week!! Stay cool!
Goose girl is a winner seems that theme is coming back. I stitched a few ornaments many years ago, and finished them in a small hoop with the lace glued on the back, still have one or two remaining that go on the tree.
I have noticed that too, friend! Love that geese are making a comeback : ) This one would be a good goose starter- there is some back stitching, but it's not huge. hmmmm.... ideas, ideas!
I can't do potpourri. Jellybean will eat it, plus I don't think the scent lasts long. Leisure Arts has beautiful looking santas. I see a lot of that paper rope at the thrift store all the time.
I very much appreciate your share of oldies but goodie’s. I love flip throughs 📖 thx for sharing! ❤
Thank you for watching! I'm so glad you enjoy these too friend!
I absolutely love those old magazines. The charts are beautiful and challenging.
So glad you enjoy them too, friend! It's so fun to see :) And yes, there are several challenging pieces!
Thanks, Amy! That was definitely a trip down memory lane! 💝
Yes, for me too : ) Have a lovely weekend, friend!
I would stitch the Santa and the winter scene.😊 It is so fun going through these old magazines. Happy Stitching Amy! - Valerie

Would Jellybean eat it if it was an ornament??? You are right, the scents don't last very long but oh the memories : )
