It's pretty comparable to shooting a 72 cal muzzleloader. I've hunted a lot of deer with .50 and .54 cal muzzleloaders. If the shot is good the deer is dead. This is even more so, I usually shoot 290 grain sabots but in lead bullets it's 375 to 425. So, I'd say that air gun is definitely way more than enough out to the point where it drops too much. It's interesting that last season my state finally put in some air gun hunting regs. The reason they run is because the shock isn't the same. If you hit them with a high speed rifle range, the shock is crazy and most of the time they just fall over. But usually with a muzzleloader they run. They die right away but they run. Mosdern centerfire rifle rounds do so much damage and they are going so fast the deer mostly just drop. It tears up a lot of meat though unless you shoot the neck or something. That shot you made would have taken out the whole front end with a modern centerfire rifle. Both shoulders and half the front legs would be ruined. The air gun should be a lot easier on meat damage too.

It is not a firearm so no, by law it is no different than a bb gun you get your kid there's so little regulation on airguns the only thing you can find is as far as rules is to hunt you need at least a 30 Cal but that varies state-to-state
Thanks Cpt. Obvious! 😂😂😂 I hope the .72 cal expanded to 1 full inch hole through the deer told the part of the story that matters. I self film my hunts and I’ve had a few kill shots missed due to camera issues or heat of the moment user error. It happens.
Ya thanks for rubbing it in. I’ve self filmed quite a few hunts and shit happens. If you need to see a good kill shot, go watch the other Deer hunting videos on my channel. I will say of all the kill shots on my channel this one was probably the most graphic and was questionable to show anyway. Here’s the description though…. On impact it knocked the Deer to the ground and it let out a pretty brutal bleet. Turn up you volume with headphones on and you can hear it. It got back up rear legs only and wheel barreled pushing its front half on the ground for about 30 yards like a bat out of hell. Eventually it got its front half up off the ground with barely any functional use of its front legs then did a head first nose dive at about 75 yards and expired. It was a great visual example of even with a blown out shoulder and double lunged deer can go a ways on pure adrenaline.

Secondo te il cinghiale di 80 ,90kg lo cacci bene? È adatto o è meglio di no?
ท่อเ How much does a silencer cost in US dollars?
Does anyone know what states these air guns are legal to use for deer hunting? I’m not talking about a private high fence hunt. I’m pretty sure they are not legal in my state of Wisconsin.
Just subscribe brother. That was wicked cool brother hammer that doe big hole

Google it! We don’t speak of such things…
I live in northern Maine woods. I hunt for sustenance living. Never have I used a gaming chair. No respects paid to the deer... No one even mentioned where the meat goes.
Ummm…. I eat everything I shoot. I go on a few ranch hunts a year, but then log 100s of hours on public and open range private land every year. How was respect not paid to the deer as I fed my family?
@@UpNorthAirGunner look. You seen you highlighting an air riffle in that video. I seen a man in a gaming chair take a doe down and stand over her body and not give thanks. She lay there while you talked about other things. If it did feed your family then great, but most say that and have no truth behind it. Can you show a meal of the deer being cooked and tag me in it? I would never doubt you again.
@@distant4766 Better yet… how about the most amazing Biltong! fb.watch/hkRr30UCo_/?mibextid=v7YzmG

Thanks for watching!
@@UpNorthAirGunner that's cool and all. I wanna see this doe be cooked.
Do you need NFA for a suppressor for an air gun?
It is not a firearm so no, by law it is no different than a bb gun you get your kid there's so little regulation on airguns the only thing you can find is as far as rules is to hunt you need at least a 30 Cal but that varies state-to-state
Start think on buy a emperor from Danny fl for me 50cal Aea bullpup
You sure didn't do the rifle any justice by not capturing the impact on the deer
Thanks Cpt. Obvious! 😂😂😂 I hope the .72 cal expanded to 1 full inch hole through the deer told the part of the story that matters. I self film my hunts and I’ve had a few kill shots missed due to camera issues or heat of the moment user error. It happens.
Wow
I watched this to see what the Zeus did to a deer.
All that buildup to the hunt, and you missed capturing it on video?
Lol...smooth move ex-lax
6:43 that's what she said LOL sorry. awesome video though
So EYE 👁️ protection is out of the question also huh?
I was trying to be an asshole bye showing you that video, I just wanted to show you that it is possible, even with conventional slugs.
What video?
If Aea make soon a regulator for bigbore ones you I’ll no longer ear any 😂
I really want my kami..
Blast..
.72 cal how much is that in mm.
That would be 18.288 mm
It is heartbreaking for someone to kill an animal just to kill it. Went on the other hand to kill an animal to eat. It’s quite a different thing.
This gun does not have to be so large and heavy !
Humane kills- thank you. Watching people try to take out deers with .22 cal, excreta are anything but.
Mantap
How much this raifal.?
