I have been watching your videos for so long that I drifted off to sleep last night with your RVing song playing in my head and visions of mountains behind my eyelids. HA! Best way to try to go to sleep. Thank you Robert.

@20:50 My grandparents were born and raised in Quincy, Illinois. That bridge dates back to the 30's, my grandma was there when President FDR dedicated it. It used to be the only way to get across the Mississippi until they built the modern bridge north of there. The old bridge is so narrow, I've driven it myself, I can't imagine an 18 wheeler coming from the opposite direction.

Hello Traveling Robert😊😊🎸🎸🎵🎵, I saw a PELICAN in the lake! Fly PELICAN FLY! OUTSTANDING footage of Springfield, IL. Such AMAZING history and really enjoyed the sights of Springfield. Great sights along Route 66 heading north toward Kankakee. I think there is a statue of Paul Bunyan on Route 66. I definitely got my kicks on Route 66! Outstanding Robert! Looking forward to the Indiana footage👍👍👍.
12:02 Opera featuring Roberto Pavarotti! "We're driving to the east in Rob's RV, we're gonna drink some hooch in Tennessee, we'll drink a bunch of beers or probably 3 yeah-ee-yeah!"
Hannibal! We stopped over there for a short visit on our way to Chicago! I thought that was a pelican at that lake! I'm sorry that that dumping station turned out to be somewhat a disaster!🌋That's interesting that the Historical town of Springfield is on Historical Route 66!Thanks for sharing the adventure!😊💚
Robert you cracked me up every time you said "Fall is in the Air". NO NO NO that is just how the temp up north in summer are. Especially nearer to the Lakes. I once was in Chicago in July and it got so cold to us folk from the south we had to go coat shopping. We were freezing.
Loved the video. I always associate Mark Twain with the Mississippi and vice versa. Thank you for showing Springfield , nice architecture and of course the history.
If you're ever up that way heading east. Retracing the Lincoln "trail" . Maybe head towards southern Indiana to a town called Lincoln City. Where he lived from 7-21 years old. There's a cabin his father built and where his mother died. Also a memorial open certain months of the year.
Welcome Robert to my city. Hope you enjoyed it. Problem was everything, or almost everything was closed due to Covid19. Come back when everything is re-opened. The Lincoln Library and Museum is actually pretty awesome. The State Capitol is cool too. Maybe they will give you a tour of the state capitol next time. The ROTUNDA is pretty cool.
After 3 long months we are still on very strict Covid lockdown in Saigon, Vietnam. Robert, I wonder if you realise how much your excellent vids help us get through this terrible time? Cheers and all the best.
Next time you're in the area of Springfield, IL look up Lincoln's New Salem. It is a reconstruction of the village where Abraham Lincoln spent his early adulthood.
So 35 minutes Northwest of Mississippi Park in Canton is Deer Ridge Conservation Area. There is free Camping there, fresh water is available but no dump, no electricity. There is a lake to boat and fish. There are places to hike/ horse trails and a shooting range. I try to make it there 2x a year and I use my generator. There is space for RVs.I take my 29 ft travel trailer
So when your blank tank began spilling you obviously shut it down but did you then use the gray tank to clean the hose. Bet that video would get 10 million views lol 😂
In Springfield there is also a Donner Party placque on the old square. They originated there. Next time check out the Cozy Drive in, home of the original cozy dog. And of course Mel O Creem donuts.
Cool to see you in Springfield, I live 30 minutes from there and go there often ...the Lincoln sites are popular school field trip destinations for kids. My family goes to the sites periodically just for fun
Hey Robert, happy Sunday! I added several spots to my travel bucket list after seeing today's video. Definitely need to add that stretch of Rt 66 and downtown Springfield.
Watching beginning of this video... having watched every video since basically beginning of this channel... the way Robert looks and speaks... as if tremendous weight was lifted off his shoulders. I do not know if he is anticipating something big happening or something big happened and he is smiling ear to ear... but I wish him the best in whatever that is.
