I remember I was in a mall in Australia. I saw a douchebag teen, baggy jeans, the cap, loose shirt, and a few chains sticking out and stuff. Really colourful clothing as well, his friends were wearing similar clothing. There was this piano in that mall, the description was something like "If you know how to play, feel free to entertain your fellow shoppers" or something like that. So the teen goes up to the piano and I'm thinking, "he's gonna fool around with it to get a laugh out of his friends". Instead he sits down, pulls the chair closer. And begins to play probably the most live piano performance i had ever seen, I just stand there amazed. After the 5 minute something performance he just gets up and leaves with his friends. Just goes to show you can't judge a person by his appearance. Also shows how beauty is not limited to those we stereotype to have it.

Maybe they hate the way he slams on the piano, or the use of simple octaves for most of the left hand part whereas other videos covering this song play more gently and use more complex LH chords and arpeggios that sound better to them. Maybe they hate the numerous dizzying camera angles and the amount of post-production that has gone into this video to make a decent performance look more passionate and impressive than the sound alone would indicate. Maybe they just hated the colour of his shoes. My point is - who are you to judge?
I don’t know your budget or what you’ve looked at, but you can get used pianos in some areas for under 300 dollars. Sure, they’re not gonna sound like this, but you’ll get practice and maybe find a grand piano you’ll be allowed to play on!
