I remember I was in a mall in Australia. I saw a douchebag teen, baggy jeans, the cap, loose shirt, and a few chains sticking out and stuff. Really colourful clothing as well, his friends were wearing similar clothing. There was this piano in that mall, the description was something like "If you know how to play, feel free to entertain your fellow shoppers" or something like that. So the teen goes up to the piano and I'm thinking, "he's gonna fool around with it to get a laugh out of his friends". Instead he sits down, pulls the chair closer. And begins to play probably the most live piano performance i had ever seen, I just stand there amazed. After the 5 minute something performance he just gets up and leaves with his friends. Just goes to show you can't judge a person by his appearance. Also shows how beauty is not limited to those we stereotype to have it.

Hey! Just wanna say that because I watched this video years ago when it came out was also the day I got inspired after watching this video for me to improve myself in playing the piano. To date, I could say that I’ve improved as to seeing how many people loved watching me playing the piano. So thank you so much for sharing this masterpiece a decade ago ❤️

This is awesome. It inspired me to play it on the piano. You know what is hilarious? "Not liking" this song is even more of a compliment than liking it because people are mad that they can't play like that. Who would spend the time to watch it and then click that they didn't like it? +Kristina Kersten Day You are very presumptuous to assume that people disliked it because "they're mad they can't play like that." There could be many reasons. Maybe they hate the way he slams on the piano, or the use of simple octaves for most of the left hand part whereas other videos covering this song play more gently and use more complex LH chords and arpeggios that sound better to them. Maybe they hate the numerous dizzying camera angles and the amount of post-production that has gone into this video to make a decent performance look more passionate and impressive than the sound alone would indicate. Maybe they just hated the colour of his shoes. My point is - who are you to judge?
This was my grandmas funeral song and sometimes I get sad when I listen to this song. But this made me think about the good times instead of all the bad ones. Thank u for being a pianist.
Those left-hand low power chords and deep notes give me proper chivers and really let the listeners to enjoy the majestic sounds of a grand piano. The key change in the end is also cool.

This song helped start my relationship with my girlfriend. We always had stuff in between us before. But we started listening to this song on an old broken dell laptop, on repeat. And inspired me to get back into piano and her to start. And we ended up spending a lot of time together over it. And we've been together for over 3 years and we still growing, so thank you for this beautiful cover!

I don’t know your budget or what you’ve looked at, but you can get used pianos in some areas for under 300 dollars. Sure, they’re not gonna sound like this, but you’ll get practice and maybe find a grand piano you’ll be allowed to play on!
Some people also sell pianos and don’t know what they have and will sell you a piano worth 2000 dollars for 100 bucks!

"Let Her Go" is most likely my favorite song out there and it's connected with the darkest days I've had and sitting here, listening to this masterpiece makes the song feel more impactful then it already is. I am in tears right now, no joke.
