When they start to show you in the inside of aircraft like this you know the replacement is not just a small step forward. The B21 must be all glass and probably has some sick AR stuff going on. The B2 was crazy tech for the late 80s / early 90s. So the 21 has to be way way beyond what the commercial world knows as "good" today.
Agreed, 2nd video I have seen of them allowing someone with a camera INSIDE of a B-2 and letting them show stuff. The tech advancements must be HUGE on the B-21
probably no AR and will pretty much the same due to redundancy and security. sometimes less is more and increasing complexity is increasing danger and not that useful. a bomber is just a carrier of bombs and missiles. all it needs is to reach to target undetectable. that's it nothing more. B-21 is actually smaller and has 50% less payload. it's more stealthy and has more range.
My thoughts exactly. Ever since the B21 started flight testing, there has been an “explosion” of videos, so to speak, showing the B2s innards in much more detail than before.
Not really. The B-21 is probably the worst stealth bomber the US has. New doesn't always = better. The USA is not what it was in the 80s and 90s. My guess is that DEI and corruption have probably made this bomber already obsolete.
There's a lot of stuff they don't mention here. I've been inside the B2 and looked over it from top to bottom. My cousin retired from Whitman after 22 years and got us all 1 day clearances to. Go to the hanger.
My cousin worked on them at Whitman for 22 years. When he retired, we all got 1 day clearances and went back to the hanger. Sitting in the seat i asked the pilot what they get stuck with if they eject over enemy territory. He said an M9 pistol. (Due to weight with the ejection seat) I proceeded to haze him a bit and ask why no one ever thought of a carbon fiber barrel and polymer reciver AR platform. A year later i saw an article of the air force looking into exactly that for their ejection seats. 😂
Hey Maximus, you might want to get word to that B-2 pilot, that he mentioned the wrong engine, the F117 engine is the type that powers the C-17, and is a much larger, and more powerful engine than that which powers the B-2. The engine type that powers the B-2 is the F118GE-100 which produces 18,000lbs of thrust, and that's the engine that the USAF selected for the U-2 re-engining program, conducted in the mid 90's, when the J75 started to become unsuntainable due to lack of parts.
@@Hoshino_ChannelThe idiot’s impulse to defer to authority is stronger than what little curiosity he has. The idiot does not love the truth because it is too much responsibility, so he lets his authorities hold it for him and jealously protects them from all criticism. The inquisitor loves the truth because he knows it is the end and beginning of all sweet things; he knows that it, at once, founds and satisfies his being. The truth conforms his body in proportion to his desire and delight, which are, themselves, already belonging to the truth and is the reason he finds that it is not simply related to him, but familiar, since he is becoming the shape of truth even has he desires and delights in it. That is why truth and love are identical: the “movement” of truth is the act of interest and inquiry for the sake of delight in nothing except itself. That is why truth and delight are identical. No one has ever seen the truth and not been pleased by it; no one has ever loved and not seen the truth. Truth is good for its own sake, which is why truth and charity are identical; but being that charity is identical to truth, how does anyone say that charity is not also love and delight? If A -> B -> C, then A -> C. So what if charity were something seen? What if charity had a face? Or if it was a man? A practice, style of living, something that can be lived, charity as a living man that is not simply _standing_ _in_ for giving but is, in his living-standing-here, charity without reserve, yet still a man? Then it is possible to have hope not of a distant, far-flung paradise beyond sight, recognition and touch, but one that is here in the world and has color, shape, form and likeness, which is an image already belonging to this paradise; indeed, belonging to a paradise-a person, a people-not simply in possession of or merely related to but is exactly that image, as, itself, mediation of form and the ecstasy of exhibition-meeting-admiration. A paradise whose only name and secret truth is the open secret of its beautiful face, showing nothing but itself, which is to say, nothing but love, charity, truth. They still won't show or talk about all of it. I remember in the 90's they had one on display at the airshow at Barksdale but it completely was zoned off and you couldn't even get close to it and you could only view it from the front.
All of the secret sauce is accessible on the MFDs and only when the airframe is flying a combat sortie. Any other time, it's the world's most expensive HondaJet.
Hey Maximus, the B-2's depot work is not performed at the OklahomaxAir Logistics Complex, instead, Northrop Grumman performs the work at Air Force Plant-42, at Palmdale, which is the birthplace of the B-2. Only the Bone(B-1B), and the BUFF(B-52) have their depot work done at Tinker AFB.
Doesn't really exist. Been inside one. Once the hatch is closed, thee's about a 4' x 6' floor space behind the cockpit. Ceiling there is about 5' high and there's some shelves with really basic supplies. You'd be lucky to prop yourself up against a wall and doze off sitting upright.
I came here because I was wondering if the B-2 could be converted to an Air Force 1. I guess the inside is classified. It doesn't look like there could possibly be enough room inside for it to perform this role, though. Seriously, though, wouldn't it be prudent to build a stealthy Air Force 1?
One of my dads friends helped build a section of this beast. He tokd my father this was nothing in comparison to some of the other machines that they cut funding on.
The cockpit photos are cleared by the air force, because, I've seen them in the following books: B-2 Spirit In Action, America's Black Warplanes, and B-2 Spirit Units In Combat.
