    +rcgrabbag: thank you for posting a review of our Museum Quality "Big Blow" Turbine. Hearing your reaction during the unboxing was a-lot of fun for us to watch.
    We noticed the screen is missing from the front H dynamic brake on the "A" unit (white area at the top front just behind the cab). Unfortunately temperature changes and humidity in transit can cause the metal to expand and contract. When extremes occur, the screen can "pop off". Usually the screen can be found hidden somewhere in the box. It can easily be reattached using by applying a thin bead of white glue around the edge of the screen. The glue dries slowly so it's easy to reposition.
    If you cannot find the screen, please e-mail your contact info and request to Sales@ScaleTrains.com. We'll be happy to replace it.
    Thanks again for the great review.

      Hi Shane, thanks to some viewers of this video, they informed me of the missing screen, which I later found in the packaging. Also missing was one of the bearing caps. I couldn't find the original, but the parts bag contained spares.

    #30 was the last 8500 hp to be built, I believe in '61. It was the only unit to come equipped with the tubular air intakes. This feature was not incorporated into any of the prior units.

    Just tried ordering one of these beasts through the UK dealership....sold out already! I have been told I have to wait for the third run due for release May 2017.

    What year run is the Overland Diamond Series?

    I noticed when you started this, it was direct to the turbine. These had a hostler motor that was started first, used to move the loco without running the turbine, and it also started the turbine. Does this model have that?

    I would love to see your thoughts on the new Athearn Genesis Big Boy (Race to Promontory version). It would amazing to see them pulling an excursion train in your amazing layout!

    The white areas on the side of the dynamic brake housing shows because it is missing a screen. It's probably in with the packaging. I had a similar issue, but mine did not fall off, it only came loose.. I reaffixed it with Aileens clear gel and so far so good. You can buy this stuff at Hobby Lobby.

      Triple M Model Railroad I think there are some spare bearing caps in the parts package.

      Wow, yes, another keen spot by a viewer. Thanks! Thankfully, there are extra caps in a parts bag.

      You are welcome. When I was editing the video I noticed the same thing with our model. Lucky for us the part was still in the packaging. I was informed that there are more caps in the parts bag.

    Hi RC, Thanks for the review. What address are you using for each piece or are they the same? Thanks

      @rcgrabbag  8 лет назад

      They are the same. For the video I just used the default address of 3 right out of the box. No programming.
