Love Shelties and Collies. I had a Smooth Collie (60 lbs) 21 inch dog, and he was a wonderful companion. He was smart, loved to run, tug, and was adept at playing agility games. He loved people and was a happy boy if he had a walk every day. He was very empathetic and understood when I wasn't feeling good. He would rest by my side and comfort me. He lived to 11 years old and added so much love to my life. I will always miss him. You will never be disappointed if you own a Sheltie or a Collie. They are truly a lovely dog to know and own. They do need positive training, love, pets, toys, and sunshine. They will not thrive in a stressful household. They do not like shouting or yelling or pulling their tail. Basically treat them with respect and they will follow you for life.
Who makes these videos? Lots of pictures of shelties and information about them is ok, but zero pictures of border collies. There are some pictures of regular collies (like Lassie) but they are not border collies which is a completely different breed.
Almost everything he said about border collies applies to shelties and probably vice vera (I have had shelties for over 20 years. Never had a border collie so I don't know). The one interesting distinction seems to be ease of training a sheltie and the need for even more activity for a border collie - although shelties also need activity and stimulation. I would add that, based on my observation of other peoples border collies, shelties tend to be more gentle and often more timid. They generally need a softer touch.
I personally liked the larger sable for his or her more chill attitude, but there's the perfect one for everyone. By now, Ollie (forgive me if I misspelled her name) should be a beautiful mature dog. She is beautiful!

The main difference being while shelties are a little nutty border collies are barking mad LOL
Probably doesnt get enough exercise if it's constantly barking mad
My girl (BC) is beautiful, highly intelligent, a lot of fun, but a little crazy and a bit of a drama queen.
Just like the woman I dated in university.
So far i saw one border collie standing near a fence..the rest are shelties. Some might be oversize , most aren't showing quality.
Not a single Border Collie in any of the pictures until you get to 3:20.... then, only one... repeated twice.
