When the SEALs recruiter came to our recruit company. They made us watch a mini-doc on BUD/S. At the end of the video the recruiter asked. "So, who wants to be a SEAL?" My buddy next to me popped up. "I do, sir." I turned to him. and asked. "Didn't you just watch the same video as me?"
I went to HS with a boy who became a SEAL.
He was a 3 time state Champion Wrestler and a TRULY UNIQUE INDIVIDUAL.
In HS I use to see him running barefoot in cut off jeans and no Shirt 8-10 MILES from where we lived on South Carolina pavement in the SUMMER!!!
We were at the indoor Pool at the Charleston Air Force base when David decided to CLIMB THE INSIDE SCAFFOLDING and Dive from 30 feet up into 15 feet of water. The Lifeguard SCREAMING HIS LUNGS out at him. He gets out of the pool and a Navy Officer (The Military shared the pool) walked over and stopped thr Lifeguard from throwing us out. He asked Dave if he could do it again. In 2 minutes Dave repeated his climb and Dive. When he got out of the pool, the officer gave him a card and told him to call when he graduates HS.
Dave became a SEAL. He was a member of Southern Comand and specialized in demolition. He couldn't tell me where he was in South America, so he would send me bottles of Tequila from various countries and I would keep my eye on the Newspaper and sure enough I'd read about something big that had blown up in that country and I knew Dave was involved.

A friend of mine when through SEAL training. He quit during hell week. He was so delirious he didn't realize what he was doing. He went back the next year, made it through hell week, then quit. He realized he didn't want to be a SEAL but he wanted to prove to himself he could make it.
Another friend once fell off our ship. It was January in San Diego. She was only in the water 12 minutes but she still got hypothermia.
This video give me anxiety, but also makes me so grateful for the people that even attempt it! They are truly amazing beings!
"We haven't seen it but I don't think I can do it" LOLOLOLOL
There is a documentary on BUDS…it follows class 234 I believe. It shows a snippet from day 1 until the end of BUDS for that class. It would be awesome to watch y’all react to that.
"University of Texas at Austin 2014 Commencement Address - Admiral William H. McRaven"
The later Seal training involves scuba in the open ocean at midnight (moonless) where you have to swim under the lowest point of a warship and attach a practice limpet mine ;-((
They completely forgot about "The Sugar cookie" where drenched head to toe you roll around in the sand until you resemble a sugar cookie...now just do log PT and everything else and let those wet sandy pants you are wearing basically start eating your skin away....ooooo
Millie, you’re beautiful and glowing, sweet girl! Love you guys! Great videos, great content! Wishing you all the success! The Seals are no joke! Glad you’re sharing this! ❤
You guys do a great job with reactions. Keep it up.
LOL!!!! James almost spilled the baby's name, Millie would have been so mad. I think your idea of waiting for the baby to arrive before you introduce him to us is smart; if that is your plan that is.
Nice animation. Too get the real feeling of Hell Week. You need a video with actual students and instructors.
You should watch the full documentary about BUDs (Basic Underwater Demolition School) called BUDs Class 234 documentary. It is a documentary about Class 234 as they go through this training. It doesn't show everything that they go through during BUDs as some of the training is top secret but it shows a good portion of the 3 different phases.
I'm surprised you haven't reacted to the the wild fire in Hawaii. They're still counting the dead. 97 last I heard and the number is expecting to go way up.
You should do a video on the movie G.I. Jane starring Demi Moore. It follow a lone female going through SEAL training. It’s really good! Probably one of my most favorite movies.
You should look at actual videos of Seal hell week - the cartoon characters don't show the dedication of the men not the severity of the training.
I had a friend that made it until bell week, then his lung collapsed half way through. He was devastated. This was his life long dream.
I have a friend of a friend who was a tri athlete that went to buds, quit the second day. True story.
Donut operator dropped out of training. He was in the same class as Mr Ballen.
One of my brother's best friend was a SEAL and was medically discharged, after his humvee exploded.
Oh dont let her scare you mr. Beesley! Lol😂..i had TWIN boys that woke up at totally diff. Times for the first year..lol..im still here and those boys today are all that matter to me ✌️✌️
Tents? I figured they'd have quonset huts, at least. I'm impressed.
You two are a wonderful couple lol . If you knew me you’d know that’s incredibly rare type of thing for me to say lmao ! But I mean it you just seem like perfect for each other and that’s so cool! Congratulations
Seal training happens on Coronado Island, just off the coast of southern Cali, just for reference. But aside from the waves and the cold temperature at 2am, just imagine realizing that #1 that is chow time for sharks so better hope you don't have any cuts or anything bc you're gonna attract some bad attention. And #2 aside from the freezing cold, dark waters you're treading in and how shite that feels, how would you feel after you find out that is actually the breeding grounds for Great White sharks. Idk how far out they have to go, but the shark issue at night that's a deal breaker for me lol. Idk how sharks are globally, but I can say sharks on the east coast, bc of the sloping continental shelf, they swim on the surface and usually show themself and might bump you a few times before they bite a limb. Sharks on the west coast don't do that. They spot you from below, and bc its Great White territory, they just come from underneath and its either they bite limbs off (plural) or they just make you disappear lol. Personally, I'm not a fan of that type of adventure lol
Yes, look forward to the first 6 years of parenting ;-))
My brother is a SEAL…been out of the “military “ for about 10 yrs but is constantly overseas doing contract work….the stories he tells me are INSANE…be very grateful you live in a free country
My son made it through 2 weeks of training but was then dropped out because he twice passed kidney stones. That was back in 2007 he has since passed over 100 stones -- he produces them like crazy.
That is so sad…and so painful…
God bless your son…❤️🇺🇸
The coffee and donuts would be too much for me. I'm tough, but DAMN!!!
I believe that was a very hard week for my kid. He did 20 years in the army, notice I didn’t say navy. Lol
You know army stands for aren't real marines yet...😊
@@havok6280 ah the grunts of the military. Lol and thank god for them. Marine sister, army mom, c.g. Daughter, navy cousin, was Air Force wife. Thank you all for your service
@@havok6280Marines Marines in a boat, never thought that sh!t could float. Hahaha 🤣
They run out in to get wet and sandy and they can see the lights of San Diego.
Bro dont say you are dôme, you Just dont now, simples. But you ckeck the real facts and it makes you smarter.and love your réactions with your wife. Continue the good job you are doing.
I friend of mine’s son broke his rib early in the Marine officer training and didn’t tell anyone because he knew he would be made to leave.
God bless and protect him!!
🙏🏻❤️
When they have recruits lie down in the surf, they lie with their heads point flat on the sand an their feet pointed toward the waves. That way every wave can go up their noses. Fun, huh?
Something I haven't seen commented on or in the video, is how intelligent most SEALs are. Most have or get college degrees. Many know and/or learn multiple languages. Plus, not everything they learn while on SEAL teams is how to kill or commit violence. They are taught a whole range of subjects. Seal teams are constantly training and learning. That's how they became, and stay one of the most effective fighting groups in the world. THE ONLY EASY DAY WAS YESTERDAY (SEAL motto)
There are 2,450 active duty SEALs, and 600 active duty SWCC. These forces spearhead our global maritime security worldwide. SWCC are trained in boating and weapons tactics, techniques, and procedures that focus on clandestine infiltration and exfiltration of SEALs and other special operations forces. They are amphibious special forces who can support SEAL operations.
Just a comment, I spent 10 years in the USN, (74-84). Nine of those years were sea duty and I truely saw the world in that time. I can honestly say that not all of that time was enjoyable. However I would not trade any of it for anything. Having said all of that, I was NOT nor would I ever say that I was a bug eater! (special forces / SEAL). I was a fleet sailor and proud of that. Even being just a normal sailor is not for every one much less being a SEAL. AND, there is no shame in that. As an example, not every one is cut out to be a fleet sailor, in that one has to live in a confined space, (a Navy Cruiser for instance), with 600 other men, no where to go or get away from them, a regimented and routine life 24 /7 /365. There is constant noise, the smell of fuel, 40 men sleeping / snoring / farting in your berthing area. I could go on but I am sure you get the idea and that is just normal times and not when things get "exciting". No, military life no matter the service, (Navy / Army / Airforce / Marines), takes a certain type of person and to be in the Special Forces takes an exceptional type of person.
HA. I am from Arkansas.
It isn't fair to say that it depends what is the toughest part of SEAL training. Trainees can get hung up on different phases. But without a doubt it is the most demanding physically. And yeah, I know two guys who quit during Hell Week.
My cousin's husband is a Navy Seal. Great guy, honestly, he's on the small side... after seeing some of the training both this video as well as G.I Jane and similar... I'm wondering how he didn't die of hypothermia, tbh.
No known person has ever made it all the way on there first try. In fact most of the recruits for each hell week are on there second or more tries.
Lots of guys have made it through the first time.
I object to them using Arkansas as a means of being unintelligent. I've known two SEALS who were friends of my minister who are from Arkansas. Ironically, one of them was afraid of rollercoasters.
MAN cARTOON Pssssst
Why does the thumbnail show real footage ?
What happened to "as little or no pausing during military videos? Asking for a friend.
I'm sorry guys but the cartoon version of this really doesn't do it justice. Certain things, and this is one of them, really need video to really get across more than just someone explaining with a cartoon figure.
But I will say that I know enough about you guys enjoy some of the military stuff regarding America. So i'd like to recommend a movie for you to react to. That is a good movie and is right up the line with this seal week one that you're showing.
It was a huge hit in america and it's called G. I. Jane and stars demi moore. The plot revolves around her. Being the first woman accepted into attempting to become the first female seal.
I was disappointed that it was all cartoons instead of actual video footage.
This is the first in a series on SEAL training: ruclips.net/video/LrrD9avi_NM/видео.html
second in the series: ruclips.net/video/jpOBRR56OsY/видео.html
y'all are in about week 15 of parental HELL WEEK. Seals got nothing on you two.
I gurantee u or I would make it an hour into hell week 😢
I actually knew 2 Navy Seals. One was a friend of a friend, nice guy, but never really got to know him too well. The other was a member of the church we went to as kids. He was a really nice guy, but tough as nails. When I was going through bootcamp we had one guy that wanted to join the seals, but he was so skinny, I doubt he even got accepted to go through hell week. I never saw him again after boot camp.
Air Force Academy student here(who had acceptence adjusted due to car accident) who completely respects any US Soldier, especially Navy Seals
With my wife and 2 daughters, I survive hell week every month.
Crap - a freeken cartoon.
First commentttt
Navy seals hell week has been criticized though for many deaths. Honestly they shouldn't be swimming on a large body of water maybe just a small lake just like in triathlons. Most of them drown in the water sadly.
Didn't watch this video past one mitute 42 seconds when the Hell Week video started. Sorry, couldn't stomach watching the extraordinarily childish graphics in the video you covered. It looks like it's target audience is for a 5 year old. But, looking forward to your next video.
