Well said that man! The lady in the red tee and baseball cap must have noticed they were there before her and trying to take a photo.

Is it a game now to disregard rules, disrespect the guards? Certain communities of tourists are certainly pushing the limits. Horseguards is a serious military barracks and government and military office building. The guards are military trained soldiers... doing a 24 hour rotation not props for jokes..this part is ceremonial duties for two years then it is armored field training in Wiltshire England. They have fought in Afghanistan. If only tourist and recent immigrated citizens would educate themselves before visiting Horse Guards and Whitehall; a more pleasant experience for tourists, horses, guards and Whitehall would occur.

"Horseguards is a serious military barracks, a government and military building." Ok, so why do they allow massive free entry of civilians, tourists into that courtyard? And cross as if it were an access road to the other side? Tourists should not be present in that area.

@@A70834 Through the arches at the back of the courtyard is Horseguards Parade , leading onto St James and Buckingham Palace . There is also The Household Cavalry Museum .

@@A70834 why are tourist allowed to tour The Tower of London, Windsor Castle, Buckingham palace? All have military kings foot guards working. They don’t have horses… which is the big draw at Whitehall. Whitehall is the historic gate to Buckingham Palace. Tourists have been disrespectful towards the military guards at all of these historic locations. That is my point. Changing of the Calvary life guards is historic occurring in the horse guards parade in the back of Whitehall. They can’t shut it off daily. Whitehall is historically since 1856 Queen Victoria reign the same ritual has been open at specific times however disrespect crowds of the rules, horses, guards at Whitehall is getting to the point disgraceful. The privilege of being up close is being abused. Modern terrible lax in manners and disregard for rules posted is the problem.

The British are too gentle with those idiots. Time to issure tickets or fines for harrassing the guards and horses. The tourista are intentionally pushing the limit and need tp pay accordingly!

Why fine them? Ask them if they want to enlist. Maybe that would work

What does it take these idiots to realise if they are scared of the horse their fear make the horse more anxious and more likely to bite them. Just leave the horses alone and sod off

Wow, it looks like the horses' bits are really really uncomfortable. I hate no animal so much that I would keep it in constant discomfort like that. Especially when we have machines that can replace them. Maybe I'm wrong and the horses really love having a bit jammed far up their mouths keeping them constantly looking for a comfortable position. I'm not a horse person, so I wouldn't know. If I'm wrong and horses really like that, please let me know and where I can find research that supports this hypothesis so I can educate myself.
