I've been happily married for 14yrs and I treat my husband with respect, deference, a sweet heart and a sound mind. He's amazing but he's better because I support his purpose. That means I also serve an important purpose; I provide an invaluable service and he appreciates me. THIS is what makes happy relationships; not sex or money. Those things are just icing.

      Look around you, look at the people, the men, who dominate in this world of ours. Overall, would you classify them as emotional or stoics? Politicians, CEOs, high ranking executives, etc.
      Stoicism is a philosophy that emerged thousands of years ago and we STILL talk about, read about it and continue to teach it. The longevity of the philosophy itself says a lot about it. The important thing like anything else in life is that you stay balanced and don't fall in extremes.

      I don't understand why private school is so important? When you apply for a job, the only care about experience, and how well you can do the work and get along with the team members. No private school is going to give you that. You have to go out of your way do internship and rack up experience. You also have to take the time and do research since the job market is so diverse it's impossible for school to Target the exact job you're going to get and training you for it. I started programming when I was in 8th grade since I love computer so much. Finding high paid job was very easy by the time I finished college. I only went to public school which taught me how to work well with others, communicate, discipline and responsible.

    34:38 Fundamental: When someone is lying to you, they are trying to control you. This is why we dislike liars - it's an underhanded method of control, a control we do not consent to.
    In this example as delineated by Kevin, she's not proud of what she's lying about, so she lies to manipulate [control] your perception of her. I admire Kevin not only for detecting the lie, but knowing to be persistent with his questions and not accept no-answers, deflections, and answers that didn't "feel right" (taking longer than normal to answer the question, drawing out the answer like she's making it up as she's going along, etc.) - all _potential_ indicators of lying.

My boys need me in ways their mom can't possibly understand. Hard life lessons is what boys need. My sons thank me for it. They understand why also. Men, you must fight for your kids. Be their rock. This conversation is needed BIG TIME! Neither men or women know how to choose. I was one of them. Lack of a father in the household contributed, but it certainly was not the entire story. Consider the reality of a son, raised by a divorced or single mother, who did not know how to choose. She can't raise a man and she certainly can't present a model for the type of woman he should choose. What is the outcome? A son who doesn't know how to choose and life becomes an experiment with all types of women trying to find the right one after sifting through many...thinking they were the problem. The reality is the man did not know how to choose. Thus, the woman with two children with two different fathers presents an unfortunate and challenging situation. I dated a woman who fit this archetype. I should have fled. Instead, I wasted time because I did know how to choose and she helped me remain in limbo. If I only knew... RIP, K.S.

    This is my opinion, I don’t believe she needs to go back to him. She needs to work on herself first before going back to any man or putting herself in any situationship. She’s not mentally, financially, spiritually ready for it. She didn’t get the chance to know herself well, or love herself. She’ll definitely end up in the same circles again until she learn those life lessons. ( the universe has a great sense of humor) What this girl need is serious guidance like most of us. I like that he’s being really blunt and open with her. Her entire energy shifted when he started asking her about what she’s bringing to the table. Great way to make her aware. Hopefully she gets the help she needs ❤️ love your channel btw 🙏🏾💯

    • @bleanneh
      @bleanneh 4 года назад

      What i took from that is he is saying she would have a better chance to improve her situation by getting everyday help from the child's father, not just financial assistance. She has no support system where she is now, at least she would have his dad there to help with her son so she can take that time to get herself together. But, this is only considering that he is the type of man that is going to step up and be a great co-parent with her, emotions aside on both parties.

    Before I was 20, I read at least 3 books on lasting relationships written by women married with children. As a man with married parents, I still felt inadequate and wanted to understand women & relationships on a deeper level. I haven't seen one single woman on Kevin's show, name books they read on men and relationships, written by married men with children. These things don't just come naturally, it takes a willingness to learn the art of love and relationships. Before you ruin all your chances, not afterwards.
