Let's be honest pep is trying a new tactical approach but it will take time to be good like why aren't we running at defences we barely even get to go through transitions and am so tired of seeing dear old city we have a lot of players burnt out we desperately need a squad rebuild and Rico isn't ready to be a midfielder he doesn't have the concentration to be one yet and am so frustrated by the fact we have two players who are good at 1 v 1 and 2 v 1s and the can't even get in behind the defence such a waste of talent and we should also have a discussion about doku he's too lazy too Inconsistent and somehow looks like a flop while gvardiol is getting better brick by brick doku has been awful such a waste of cash on city and he'll never change
@@valentineabade9870 Doku is really poor. We don’t like to give up on players too quickly but I’m getting Phillips vibes. Let’s hope he can turn it around
Doku didn't even start this game, how is he getting this much negativity? When he starts he plays well more often than not and he spaces out the pitch better each game. He has been developing this season, why throw that away. At worst he is good depth for the squad.
Pep is trying to find the new formula (no Rodri city) It’s gonna take time I hope Pep find it as fast as possible before losing to much point for the title race
Can't figure what the hell Pep was thinking with that 11. Gundo was absolute trash can't be starting over nunes or foden. Lewis at RB Walker on the bench.
I think we’re on the brink of a new formation… the next evolution from pep. Personally looking at our squad, I see a pretty stacked defense with lots of creative options up top. 2-4-3-1 is the formation I’m speculating. Dias-Stones, Gvardiol-Gundo-Kova-Akanji/Lewis, Grealish/Doku-Foden/De Bruyne-Savio/Bernardo and haaland up top. We could see Días be like the point and last defense with Stones pushing up. That’d be scary but cool. in the attack it would be Dias at the halfway. Gvardiol to the left but slightly father ahead, Kova a few yards ahead of Dias and Akanji on the right slightly farther ahead then in the box I’d have 5 Just outside the box, with Haaland down the center. Gundo at the top, wingers lined up with the striker, and the 2 mids floating in and out of the box. 😅
Im an Inter fan but I follow City because of Kova and Gvardiol. Barella can fill Rodris position but he will never leave Inter. Its fun to play with the thought though. However I believe that getting a high caliber player in the January transfer will be hard. They know they will replace Rodri and what happens when Rodri gets back from his injury? However next season a lot of city players will leave I believe. And I dont like the blame/hate Kova gets from City fans. He is getting restricted under Pep (that doesnt mean Pep is a bad manager). Just take some time and watch Kovas last game for Croatia, especially against Portugal, he cooked them. 2 totally different players when I watch him play for his country and City. I hope he returns to Inter.
Geez man, its ok, Pep had to try something to understand his best midfield. Why are people so reactionary?! Lets be real, as City we have won 4 titles in a row. Give Pep some time to figure out his best eleven. We will be fine. And btw, Pep knows more about every players strengths and weaknesses than all of us combined.
Just home from Newcastle. Great analysis again and completely agree. Table doesn’t matter till 20+ games imo, long way to go. Let’s move forward from this in future games and get the system right!
I don't want to see Bernardo Silva on the wing ever again this year or next. Put them in midfield where he belongs. I think Jack should have played the full game and just been moved to midfield at the end.
Grealish and bernardo both were awful .... I have one question why city don't park the bus and hit teams on the counters when they score the first goal.... Now city have pacy wingers also and i think haaland will thrive even more on transition football !!!
Newcastle are poor this season, and we shot ourselves in the foot before a ball was kicked. 2 points dropped in a season where every point matters more than ever. Yes, it’s ‘meltdown’ worthy
@@Nobbins I get it but we’re 6 games in, a pretty major injury list (long and short term), players not yet up to speed (Foden, Gundo, Stones). We’ve played Chelsea, Newcastle and West Ham at away, Brentford and Arsenal at home, and we’re 2nd. A pretty good start by all accounts. We have to go through the gears and with all the injuries Pep is still working out where those gears are. Newcastle were there for the taking, but they are still a dangerous team away. If Gundo had his boots on the right feet we’re winning that game, with THAT midfield.
We need to get back to keeping clean sheets especially if we are not going to be free scoring and be other players need to finish their dinner None of are other attackers have more than one goal except Haaland Today it didn’t work gundogan number 10 had chances to play Haaland through
Ok nobs...if we don't play these different combinations then you're saying use our best ...ok...how do.we sustain the team for 78 or 68 games or whatever? We play again on Tuesday...then on saturday....give it a chance😂
He already played the reserves on the last game versus watford you smartass. Next week is an easy Champions game where he can rest players too. What are you even talking about.
@@Nobbins ok I forgot about that lmao BUT I mean... he played the ball to Gvardiol on the edge of the box, and he had to whip out the magic to actually score - that would've never been an assist if our CB didn't dummy two Newcastle defenders and finished with his weaker foot like he's a striker, there was so much he still had to do to score - so the goal was like 90% Gvardiol, 10% Grealish. And besides that, Grealish was completely and utterly ineffective. He spent like 30 minutes doing nothing but arguing with Tonali. It was a really poor performance from him despite getting that assist in my not whatsoever humble opinion.
Gundo is not playing his actual role yet...people say pep.plays people out of position..lol...know what he does? He plays people first in positions they will be linking with so they understand the "suffering"..then he re aligns...quit the waffling. 😂😂😂
I hope Stones steps up and remains fit and healthy. That would probably solve quite a few things!

Blame Pep for the 11 Doku is fine@@tigerstrainingpage2511
Pep is trying to find the new formula (no Rodri city)

Step 1: Don’t start a midfield which was doomed to fail 😅

The line up I wasn't convinced from the start
Btw ‘reactionary’ does not mean what everyone thinks it does and how many seem to use it. They mean ‘reactive’
Pep killed this game from the onset, negative at best
Bizarre
Pep needs to explain 2 things. Why Foden isn’t starting and why Walker is starting over Lewis
One of the worlds mysteries
Good show. Also funny. This is a new rattled Nobbins. Come on lad

When tryna sign a player for Rodri we should go for some physicality.......
We lacked physicality now especially in set plays

Top 4 at best this season

Yea only arsenal wont capitulate this yr they have a solid defense
Doesn't mean should give away silly points.

I want Silva gone Sumner along with walker

KDB, Rodri, Haaland, Foden and Akanji

Meltdown with a 1-1 at Newcastle 🤷♂️
Yes bcz they are shit this yr an arsenal will get 3 points there

Fake Love by Go for Gold 😃
City need signings

In the hardest games yes use our best, or at least start a midfielder capable of creating something
The midfield used should be banished. Lots of games not an excuse to pick a dumb 11
Grealish our best player???? Are you being serious? He was AWFUL. Created absolutely nothing, he was a liability if anything.
HE LITERALLY, DIRECTLY, CREATED THE ONLY GOAL WE SCORED WHAT DO YOU MEAN MAAAAAAN

The initial wankfest over the Gundo return has now turned into a potential liability
Just not being used correctly
Play him deeper, play Foden in Gundo’s position today. Problem solved
