A reminder that according to "The Essential Guide to Warfare: Star Wars", 2012 - less than 1% of stormtroopers were female. Taking for example that the 291st Legion had 3 females at 8,192 troopers and some, like the 501st, not having any, this game is hilariously inaccurate. Or decided to put all of them in the path of the player.

Sometimes we go backwards. Look At MGSV, a 'stealth game' everyone loves. The guards don't even spot your footprints like they did in MGS, a playstation one game and when you steal their guns, they have an infinite supply of pistols as backup.
Even the enemy A.I if Far Cry 2 isn't that stupid. Those guys actually shout out to each other in combat and they try to flank you. They also progress from African grunts to foreign mercs and use better equipment as your rep increases.

How is she able to effortlessly knock out a fully grown man/jango clone...? with a punch to the helmet? Are her punches so powerful that even through a full helmet can scramble their brains? and if that's the case it would also break their necks and presumably crumple the helmet. What nonsense, they could have given her a discreet space taser to knock them out.
What's funniest about this is that THERE IS a taser in this game! It's an upgrade you can unlock. Kay uses the taser to take down the security droids, deathtroopers and Gamorreans. So the developers thought about a taser, but for some reason decided NOT TO make it a default weapon for takedowns. Instead, Kay just takes down everyone, including armored enemies and Imperial stormtroopers, with goofy ahh punches. It's one of the most bizarre design choices I've ever seen. Even MJ in those infamous Spider-Man missions uses a taser!

As a far cry gamer (which is a ubisoft title) the ai was always a bit simpler. But even older far cry games have better ai than this. Reminder. As the title states this is a ubisoft title. How?
There are probably a few different reasons. One of them is that Ubisoft games are just getting worse overall. They are very basic, superficial and they don't have strong mechanics. Another thing is that the stealth genre fell out of grace. Proper stealth games with good AI and deep mechanics are very few and far between. Nowadays, stealth is not even treated as a separate genre, but a simplified mechanic that is a small part of a bigger game. Pretty much every open-world game nowadays has some stealth compontent like hiding in the tall grass and silent takedowns. It's done out of habit, because people got used to the fact you can be stealthy in games, but the devs don't do anything to make this mechanic actually engaging or interesting. Which is a shame because stealth gameplay can be pretty amazing if done right. Even old Ubisoft games like Splinter Cell: Blacklist had really fun stealth systems. I don't think I ask for too much when I say that Outlaws should have taken inspiration from 'Blacklist'. There are so many cool mechanics you can use to make the stealth experience more interesting. Animals that can sniff you out, so you are forced to be on the move; drones that can detect you, cameras, different types of enemies, some of which cannot be easily taken down or others that are more persistent in looking for you. Stuff like that! A better skillset for Kay would go a long way, too! Imagine if we had some cool gadgets like throwing knives, throwable lures, taser mines, electric/poison darts, stun grenades, sleeping gas etc. I also think Kay should have been more agile. If she could climb walls and parkour to elevated positions like in 'Assassin's Creed' (or at least 'Blacklist'), the encounters would be much more interesting.

As much as some of my favorite game/IPs are Ubisoft, I also am not surprised that they are teetering on bankruptcy and I wont be too sad if they fold since Ubisoft clearly cant be trusted anymore.
The ghosting is worse than it should be because I'm using frame generation for better performance at higher quality. Without it, the game wasn't smooth enough for me.

The footage was recorded before the latest patch. Yes. The AI has been slightly improved, but not much to be honest. This mission is also kind of unique, because there are a lot of scripted events that are easy to break. For example, the stormtroopers in the first scene are scripted to run past you. But if you caught their attention, they would act like absolute morons.
Why are 90% of these bloody troopers women. I don’t think Ubisoft realises that their “inclusivity” isn’t actually benefitting women here, as stormtroopers are one of the biggest jokes within the game, getting knocked out with a donkey kong punch on their helmet.
Imperial Stormtroopers are regular people who were conscripted. The clone army was decommissioned shortly after the Republic turned into the Empire. The idea of female officers and stormtroopers is not new, and there's nothing wrong with it in principle. 'Outlaws' just goes too far and makes the proportions ridiculous. It seems like 60-70% of Imperial personnel are women, which makes no sense for a macho totalitarian regime + it's lore-inaccurate because in other media, almost all Imperial troopers and officers are men.

The ai in Beyond Castle Wolfenstein on the Commodore 64 was so much better. For real! You had to move dead bodies or live guards would see them. This is a bad joke.
'Outlaws' is supposed to be a stealth game. At least that's my impression, considering the fact that Kay is a thief, and 90% of missions expect you to sneak around undetected. And yet, you can't even carry bodies. But it's not a problem because the enemies are too dumb to find them. And when they do, nothing happens. They just walk around very slowly and pretend they are looking for you before carrying on with their business.

The AI is bad, but why are all the stormtroopers women? I mean ok, maybe some are women, but all of them?

On the upside - the furry alien animal sidekick playing dead is cute and funny.
