- A 1966 GMC Suburban I found at The Grand National Roadster Show 2018....This one is about 90% complete.....But that's by design...The owner has a bad habit of selling His projects as soon as they are done and He really likes this one and wants to keep it for awhile...I don't blame Him...It's very cool for sure....It's on bags so it lays on the ground....The wheel choice is right on...He has the body done nice...But not over done...It's meant to be driven.. Modern drivetrain makes it very reliable....The interior still has a old school vibe....But done very nicely and fits the build perfect.....I love Hot Rods like this one...You can cruise your crew with you...Your whole crew and still have room for the cooler....I hope you like this 1966 GMC Suburban as much as I did...Check it out!!!

Man I dig what I'm seeing with this Jimmy. If I had to pick one issue and its the ONLY one, it would be this: for the show, I get it but I could never drive around on the no-sidewall tires. The wheels are top-notch/doesnt-get-better-than-these must haves. Just no ride quality on those rubber-band thickness balonies. Please tell me you roll on somethin' else.

This old Suburban is really cool. But I can't believe it's fun to drive around, with half an inch of sidewall.
I don't believe he would risk those wheels, either.
It's a LOOK I've never understood. "The less sidewall I have, the cooler I am." NOT!
I have to give credit though, for him keeping the mirrors. That's a bit rare, for some reason.

GMC is General Motors Corporation. These were sold at Buick, Olds, Pontiac, and some Cadillac dealers. So any GM engine is cool in these. A 455 Olds, Pontiac, Buick, or a 500 Cadillac!!

Guess I'm a product of my times as this expensive creation wouldn't interest me if it was the last thing around on 4 wheels. Don't care for "belly draggers" and certainly not A Suburban???? Why???? Oversized wheels look hideous too, but...……..that's just me as I first said. I'll take one of the more classic customs from Foose or Kindig any day over this.
