Founded in 1991, the team was established with the desire to create a Yosakoi experience that both performers and audiences could enjoy together.
Since 1998, when the "Yosakoi Grand Prize" was introduced, Honya has won the award nine times and boasts extensive performance experience at events both domestically and internationally. In 2010, the team inspired the movie "Kimi ga Odoru, Natsu" (The Summer You Dance) and appeared in singer Yo Hitoto’s music video in 2017, earning widespread attention for its dynamic activities.
