The more real people filming and reporting I see (in life in general not just here), the more I realize how much the mainstream media sucks. MSM is sucking super hard right now.
From what I saw being reported last night, the piece of debris that hit him came off the top of an oxygen tank that landed on the ground a 1/4 mile away. Travelled like a bullet. Today when they showed the diner footage, you can see an oxygen tank in use at the table next to where the guy was sitting. I had to watch twice to make sure nothing broke off of that tank as well to hit him. That would have been the zillion-to-one combo shot I'd say.
It’s a small miracle more people aren’t dead. That time of day on Cottman. It’s wild. Thank you for documenting all of this. Thoughts are with everything dealing with some real life things right now.
I'm in Texas, and I'm not much of a sports person, but I thank you for your video. I am truly sorry for what has happened in your community. May all survivors receive an abundance of God's grace and love going forward. RIP to the victims, and may Father have mercy on their souls.
People at the local TV stations move around so much they never establish any roots where they end up. So that affects whatever they " report". This did make international news. I saw it on the BBC and the other Brit channel Channel 4.
Thank you and all the people of Philly! I’ve been to many cities- never Philly though. And I appreciate the boots on the ground “news”. And you all rallying together. Thank you ❤
Thanks so much for showing this! I heard last night at that diner you were showing with the cardboard on the window, that the piece of the plane that went through the window actually hit a customer in the head, & was severely injured 😢 this is so devastating! First time watching your channel! Great job!
Hey Cap, Thank you for this one. I've been watching your posts for awhile now......But this one really hits close to home and is your most important video to date. Really appreciate you heading out there and giving your report.
Can't listen to those press conferences, just a big circle jerk of politicians all thanking each other. The pilot was talking on the radio in a normal voice seconds before it went down, if something fell off the aircraft they would not have been so calm, what ever happened was very sudden and happened right over the mall area. The impact and explosion was so huge it would throw debris very far. Hard to believe only one person on the ground died, or the fire was so intense they haven't found enough of the people in those cars? The staff at the Shriners Children's Hospital is devastated, they had a big sendoff party for the little girl that was going home after treatment.
There's still like 20+ people still missing. And several others still in criical condition from burns in the homes. Plus all.of those cars had now disentegrated people in them. It isn't just 1 person. They've only said 1 person for now, but that's going to go up.
@@jeremydubeck4439where are you getting your sources from? Absolutely NOBODY at all is stating 20+ people are missing. Absolutely no one at all. Not the news, nor anyone on social media. And fyi i literally live less than a block away from the crash site.
As anyone knows who is familiar with this neighborhood....those brick rowhomes are almost like bombshelters. 14 inch thick poured concrete foundation walls, double masonry exterior walls (thick cinderblock + perpendicular masonry brick tied in exterior brick wall). That's why the home on the end that got partially hit with debris and fire, is still standing just fine
Crazy man. I was surprised that despite the weekend there was not as much traffic as I anticipated. Thought Bustleton Ave would be much more congested. There was traffic, but not as much as I thought.
I'm Sure the Philadelphia Fire Department 🚒🚒🚒 had Firefighters up on Ladders and Towers doing searches and recovery as well as knowing as a Firefighter that's standard operation procedures especially after a plane crash.
Thanks so much for the video. Many of my ancestors lived in Philadelphia, so I'm interested in the city and what happens there. The plane crash really caused some mess! I appreciate reporters like yourself who add the personal touch unlike other media which give us pieces and keep repeating them. You're giving us a close-up view, where they give us themselves as visuals while standing far away from the situation yakking to the camera.
It seems from that doorbell cam with the bald guy going out the door, that plane seemed already on fire before it hit the ground. It's a firey plane that comes from out of the clouds and doesn't go straight down into the ground, it kinda makes a curve before it hits. Just putting it out there. So so horrible
Correct Susan; I did a screenshot at 0:05 of the same video, cleaned the image up and you could clearly see the smoke contrails and the back of the aircraft was on engulfed in flames.😢
@MegaCharger9 no one is saying that tho. The cause of the demise happened before the crash. Well thank you for replying. I'm sure it will come out in the end exactly what happened. Its worse than just crashing. Keep me posted if you hear anything. 😪😪
@3:06 It looks exactly like a skull in the crater?! Did anyone else notice this? Thanks for covering this and giving us a true on the ground no bs walkthrough!
good to see you showing respect due to the blocks placed around the area, you could physically go around ,but YOU KNOW the reason and thus RESPECT ! Thank you
My those who lost their lives in this plane crash rest well in Christs arms. Taken too soon from this life. Only God knows why he called them home. My they rest in Gods arms. 😢😢😢
Eyewitness news has nothing on the Captain of Philadelphia. When I need the news source in Philadelphia I hit up the captain’s Page. Thanks you from Canada 🇨🇦
I lived the first half of my life in Philly. I remember the Roosevelt Mall. That lot is where I always got picked up and dropped off from Girl Scout camp (Indian Run). It’s surreal seeing such a familiar place on the news and all over social media.
Captain, I REALLY enjoy your videos. Listening to you reminds me of listening to radio talk show host Richard Hayes. who use to do the overnight on WCAU. Richard had been a singer, band leader, and actor and was a consummate radio personality. I'd stay up all night in NC to hear him talk about what was happening in Philadelphia. He told great stories and made you feel like you were there. And he always talked about Tiffany's Restaurant, where you could get fine pastries and baked goods. He would always say "have breakfast at Tiffany's." Anyway, you are now my Richard Hayes. Please keep making videos and talking about what store used to be a deli and all that.
My prayers and tears for all that has been affected by pain and suffering i hope to see some changes in Air traffic this is so painful to hear i pray for justice and to make us feel safe.My hearts and Angel's and are father give us strength through this time of need i pray to see better for my people. My condolences and sympathies to all of Philly and Pennsylvania and 🇲🇽 we stand together to see some better outcomes. It hurts a lot especially a child and mommy and so loving family that was on their way back home.My heart truly hurts to hear this.Ya keep us updated 🙏.😢
Former Philly native. Prayers for the deceased, Props to the Philly Captain for reporting this sad event. I got homesick because of the success of the Eagles...but this really has me emotional.
Not sure where you are getting your information from but no one at all stated that anything fell off of the plane after take off. Whatever happened, happened super fast. Personally, i think the pilot had a case of spatial disorientation because there wasnt even a single call out of an emergency or issue to any control tower. Even in the event of an emergency they would have had enough time to let them know that they are in an emergency.
The doorbell cam video clearly shows the plane had fire as it came down. Maybe a chance that an oxygen tank blew @ the 1500 foot elevation ? Something catastrophic inside that silenced the crew from calling a mayday.
I don't watch mainstream media news either. Instead I turn on my police scanner to Philadelphia citywide Police/Fire/EMS at 6:00pm. 10-15 minutes later, all hell broke loose across their radio waves. You could hear the fear, trauma, and confusion in all their voices trying to secure a serious explosion of unknown origin before confirming it as a jet crash in our populated neighborhoods. Calling in all utilities cutting off power, to setting up communication area's, to roadblocks. It was crazy to listen to in real time from all the first responders. All my respect goes out to them!
Captain you did an excellent job covering the plane crash the day of the crash and you did an excellent job giving an update on the crash now I wanted to say my heart goes out to the families of those who passed away and I believe from the news they were from Mexico, now I must say RIP
Telling it real Captain!!!!! This could have been so much worse had the plane hit 200 feet to the house side, God was watching over those people and homes.
I specifically heard a report from what os to be considered a credible source.. *news media* It was stated that the plane was privately owned, and the owner offered the family to use it. They were from Mexico 🇲🇽 and were headed to Wichita, Kansas, to refuel, then head back to Mexico.
Praying for everyone and please have some kind of mental health assistance for people who witnessed it.Knowing you saw people 's deaths has to mess with you
They need to scoop everything up real quick and take it somewhere else to examine. The lives of the local people are much more important than debris recovery.
Thanks for the updates Captain! Still can't believe this happened, I'm still trying to process it. Also I've never seen Roosevelt Mall closed off like this
Philly Captain, becoming a serious citizen reporter. He's all over this. Good job, Captain.
Thank you for posting this. I much rather watch a real person on the ground then what the news media provides

Agreed.
The NTSB press conference was embarrassing with a bunch of self congratulatory muckety-muck.

I knew from the accent in the first three words that we were in good hands with this report.
A man eating at the diner got hit in the head by debris, knocked unconscious, but doing okay It's all on video.
So glad he's ok. 🙏
What’s amazing is how far away it was
Bro I ate at that diner
