I don't know why, I am not connecting with *Meem say mohabbat* , it's seems quite a basic storyline, told many times previously. In the time when our tv dramas evolved or are evolving, this seems a step back. I am happy for those who are liking it,I think i have grown out of these types of stories. 😊

Yumna and Bilal also played childish "bawla bawli "sunshine" characters in Pyaar K Sadqey. They never felt annoying or irritating. Infact they felt real as such people do exist in real life as well. It all comes down to actors performances and overall plot of the show. Our writers and makers literally make same Jab We Met or k3g reboots in the name of romcoms over nd over.

Itnay low standards hain ke k3g ko standard ke taur pe liya jata hai...taubah........as for Yumna and Bilal, both of them are such accomplished performers and have such great comic timing that never did it feel OTT in PKS....no one can even come close to Yumna

    • @AkazaUpperM3
      @AkazaUpperM3 16 часов назад +4

@@mehreenmisbah9556 it depends on the writing and execution. Yumna played same role in Jugnoo drama before but it wasn't received well because it was sober character opposite her. In PKS it was perfect opposite a character like Abdullah. Everything blended together beautifully. and by the end of drama they didnt completely made the characters have 180 degree turn and turning them "normal". Infact they kept the childlike innocence despite expecting their own child together.

Seems like TT is being given the redemption arc by shifting blame on Masooma. Disappointing that female writers don't go the extra mile to show the audience that accountability in extra marital affairs is on both genders but more so.on the man who steps out of his marriage /nikkah.

Iqtidar is better than many other shows including Bismil. Rubina is performing her role brilliantly. Mehru is not playing victim here. She came back to her house because she doesn’t need to run away from this situation. She should face the situation head on not like roti huye bichari. All things are great about this couple, Mehru has seductive as well as innocent looks which heat up the whole scene. Shahnawaz is a new actor but he is performing well.

Iqtidar - Aamna got it so right! Its a M&B done right in this genre with great chemistry and age old moments!
    Hassan's Qs-
Why are they trashing each other - This is a love story that happened by chance, something that both didnt want it to happen... They still don't ack their feelings & want to continue their role of hating each other, until the feelings surface so strong that they cant avoid.
Where is the brother - Mother has addressed this the first morning of marriage when Shahnawaz is very concerned for his brother - "Dont worry about your brother. Once I win the election, it will be in my hand to get him released. You focus on milking this marriage and girl for our votes & election result". The brother is taken care of luxuriously in jail with his friends partying there n he getting all his needs met.
For some reason, Anmol is still not working for me. I feel she doesnt have a M&B face but I still have to give it to Anmol that she is trying very hard and giving more than her best to add to the chemistry! There are moments when she looks very striking and I request her MUA & especially Hair artist to keep her looking fresh in the 'main' scenes.
Ali Raza has become the SRK of town! He is doing a fab job! and lot of folks are calling him arrogant from Aamna's interview but I felt he was straightforward but not egoistic... There were times I thought he would go in that territory & I saw Aamna also looking at him with hawk eye expecting that (eg: Does female lead make a difference in his choice of scripts) but he very sincerely shows an angle of thought process thats very genuine & different (like every woman is beautiful and he says it sincerely - I relaxed and I saw Aamna also relaxing at this moment)... He is raw at the edges but is on his way to get polished/groomed but acting skill wise, he has arrived!

Iqtidar has a huge major flaw with Shahnawaz’s character, he loves a girl but is forced to marry her for selfish reasons, but then he mocks her and tells her, “Itna bara suite to kabhi tumne dekha nahi hoga” Who says that to the woman you love patronising and mocking her class and financial status! Then he is giving false hopes to Amal! Why? He is trying to make mehru jealous? No! He loves her but is eager to divorce her also? Okay let’s give a doubt that he loves her but doesn’t want to accept her love because he is in denial, and used his mother’s plan as a way to flirt with her and not feel guilty about it, he wants her but is also ashamed of admitting it to himself, then why is he with Amal??? He is using amal as a mistress and doesn’t care about playing with her feelings? Is this the hero? And I thought Ali Raza would talk about this but unko khud ko nahi pata ke ye sab kyun or kiya ho raha hai, he says, I asked director and he just told me, poocho mat, bas kerte raho, Sorry but agar ek actor ko kuch bhi bol do, or wo uthke play kerna shuru ho jayega, to unki koi responsibility hai ya nahi? Actors paison ke mamle mai to productions ko seedha ker dete hain, agar designer kapray or khana peenay se hat ke kuch creative nakhray ker lenge to script kafi behtar hoti, kaheen behtar scenes hote, characters ki back story hoti, unki complexities explained hoti, it would’ve been a better watch, sirf dramatic license or sensational value ke naam pe koi bhi bakwas to nahi ho sakhti

SND: I think the actor playing Ammar, also seen in Ghair and Qarz-e-jaan is very expressionless. He is pretty but no strength character. Every character of him looks the same and speaks in the same manner. Very very sterile. It would do him good to do a character completely different from the current ones (like a rogue or something).

SMD: A) SMD has no story & B) the makers want to make the drama about Sadaf. Simply laughable. If SMD was meant to be a female centric plot, they should have taken a talented actress. Maya can't act to save her life. In those casual scenes in the house, she didn't even look like she was playing a character in a drama. Felt like it's her real life n these are random videos been shot. She is that bad. N less we speak about Usama Amar Khan the better.
Only person people are watching the drama for goes missing every now n then. Two whole episodes w/o the main lead. Unbelievable! In MPTH, when Mehwish left, the focus was on Danish n his son on how they coped and how their life changed. Why can't we focus on Bilal . Why do we have to see Sadaf n her cring romance Ammar Dania humsha irrelevant tracks. SMD is a mighty disappointment

Just like the mother in Aye Ishq e Janoon brainwashed Aeman into believing that Rahim was the predator, KRQ has deceived the drama makers into thinking that everything from him has to be a masterpiece. People are scared to criticise him because of his abusive language and also because the narcissist uses gaslighting technique to make his critics doubt their own intelligence while calling his so called philosophical writings, insubstantial and bigoted.

Maya's recent performance is highly disappointing, worst ever, and pathetic compared to her stellar acting in dramas like Aunn Zara and Mann Mayal. It seems she's lost the charm and depth she once brought to her roles. Rather than focusing on on-screen chemistry or co-stars like Wahaj, she should prioritize choosing strong, well-developed characters that allow her to showcase her true talent.

Subtle hints were given in the beginning that Ammar will be shady..like putting Namdars name as reference... casually eating after the first suicide drama at Sadafs house...but he was always loyal and possessive about sadaf. Didn't understand the sudden shift. Except for Bilal and to some extent Ammar.. character arcs are not convincing for the rest and the absence of wahaj in these episodes was very much felt by the audience proving people are watching this boring drama just to see him. People are least interested in the stupid side tracks. After episode 1, the only episode where wahaj had max screen time were episodes 18-19. He is the lead character but he has the least screen time amongst all. Maya is delivering poorly and amar khan is too over performing. Maybe on paper it was something different but unfortunately major lapses in script along with bad execution turned the drama into a shallow project with no substance. Potential of actors are wasted..and wahaj please don't sign a project before reading or getting idea of execution of the whole story. You are an amazing actor and seriously deserve better stories. It's absolutely fine if you want to work in romance /fantasy genre but story needs to have something in it.

Farhat Ishtiaq may have written good 2 or 3 "novels" a decade ago spending her whole life on it that did well when adapted for dramas primarily due to direction, OSTs and presence of stars in it, but lets be honest pure drama writing is not her cup of tea especially in todays day and age. Its quite apparent that she copies from past dramas. Meem Se Mohabbat is a good example of it. The new Meri Tanhaiyaan or whatever its called which stars Kubra and Azaan Sami Khan also seems to be inspired from past shows like Malaal. The treatment is exactly the same.

I think Dananeer's acting is GENUINELY natural and good. I dont think the issue is if the bubbly girl character is in a movie or drama BUT this particular drama "Meem se Muhabbat" has two veryyy different arcs happening side by side.
There is a ramadan drama vibe to it.
But because Ahad has a very serious and intense arc then dananeer's arc feels like whiplash almost.
I also right now cant imagine both these characters meshing well

I agree, so far MSM is only interesting with Ahad's track. Dananeer's is on borderline irritating and unrealistic. Hope they improve that track before it ends up unwatchably irritating.
Bismil - despite looks like they are dragging, for me it doesn't come across that way.. everything they are showing is needed and required for the story to move forward, even Zoheb's track. Like Aamna said, they needed to show the contrast bw Madiha and Masooma, in order to show us that all women are not greedy and only after wealth and power. And completely agree with Aamna on Rehaam's lipstick makeup issue that Hasan brought up. For most women basic makeup is as normal as brushing their teeth and other basic needs to start the day. They don't need to walk like a zombie forever. Rehaam's expressions and scenes all are perfectly executed, except for one scene where her crying looked forced. For me, Bismil has still kept me hooked and waiting for the next episodes.

When the promo for MSM first came out I saw the kid scene and was excited and hoping he would be a single father that would have made it a unique story . I dont know why our dramas cant take those risks. Looks like its a brother bhabhi thing as usual. But Ahad and the kid are fab and their track is brilliant. Dananeer is good but a little ott. Im sure the story will get better once she calms down and settles and Fathat Ishtiaq usually has great emotional stories so im sure after a few more episodes it will hook us better
