    Thank you for this helpful tutorial. One thing I would recommend doing to achieve an even wider sound when doubling up on guitar tracks is to actually record the same part twice instead of copying, pasting and applying different effects.

      Yea it does sound like he record the 2 parts separately, I don’t think he told us though

    For pity's sake, I don't mean to say that this video is not useful: the sound has definitely improved. But really I wonder if somebody who has played with an amplifier doesn't find these sounds as very very bad, mosquito-like. Have you ever had a guitar in your hand attached to an amplifier? And I say this as a GarageBand user trying to get a decent sound out of a guitar. I know Garageband is not Logic, but I watched precisely this video in the hope that it would show me that Logic can offer a better sound. So many videos like this and everyone is ecstatic about these sounds! Mah!

    Cool video. It would be great if the audio was stereo as well. In order to hear and understand the changes better. Thanks!

    Nice video.If you know you want a Marshall sound more or less every time ( like I do ) then I recommend UAD.It's worth every penny.Especially at Sale times.It just saves a lot of fiddling and gives a greater satisfaction.

    • @factoryundergroundtech
      @factoryundergroundtech  2 года назад +1

      Yes you're absolutely right, we do use UAD plugins all the time at the studio as well. This is just a tutorial on how to get similar tones using just stock plugins from Logic. Thanks for the recommendation tho!

    Thanks for the tutorial, but achieving a distorted rhytm sound in that way is quite easy, the lack of quality can be mask with ease. The thing that drove me crazy in the past 20 years is that:
    it is impossible to create a solo warm liquid sound from that thing. Try to create am Eric Johnson mild but mighty warm solo sound... impossible. Even a Satriani basic solo sound, or a Robben Ford kind of tone. Even using IRs don't works, it's not the guitar ( I tried al loto of them ) it is not the cable ( I tried even a low capacitance one ), again, it's not the plugin
    I tried everything from IK to Waves to the newests. Something is missing. A thing like a coat around the signal that can give the sense of an amplifier. I would be very amazed if you guy will find something ( non in equalizer ) that helps. Thanks again. Cheers

    Good video..but really it comes down to personal taste.. there is no ONE sound that beats all others..
    but it’s a good video on how to carve out your own custom sound that turns you on as a player..
    am I right?

    I want to make pop punk style distorted guitar using Logic Pro X plugins. Would you have additional tips for that? Or would you just do the same tone as you did in this video?

  • @Anthony-wg7fn

    Can you add the effects and the amp before you record the section? Many times I’ve done this and there is a massive delay.

    • @factoryundergroundtech
      @factoryundergroundtech  2 года назад

      You can but what you're experiencing is latency, which may occur when you have too many plugins on at the same time while recording. You may have to turn on Low Latency Mode while recording. Hope this helps!

    That was all in mono. Would love to hear what the guitars sounded like in actual stereo :(

  • @worduser899
    @worduser899 2 года назад +1

    It's actually kind of hilarious how you exported the audio in your video project as mono, so the stereo effect isn't in effect.
    Still some good insight in the video. Only thing that's even better is sending your DI signal to 2 different busses that have different amps on them and then putting EQ, Compression etc on the master GTR track.

    Mon dieu que c'est amateur! Rien de "ultimate" dans ce son de guitare. Si les pros utilisaient l'Amp designer, cela se saurait.

      Disagree. The results are very useful, conveniently saved, reliable, free of added noise and high frequency loss. This is the best way work, export Mainstage 3 for live performances.

      Oui, vous avez tout à fait raison, mais cela s'adresse davantage aux personnes qui n'ont que des plugins de stock. Merci d'avoir commenté !
