That being said it looks as though the quality of the legendary and Epic skin are returning to their previous form that was saw back in Season 7 and have taken a turn for the worse.

The trick is that no one buys the battle pass then maybe EA will use their remaining brain cells to figure out this is not what the community wants. Though there is one problem to this, IT’S EA!!
Hopefully EA sells the game to Respawn because at this point any company is better than EA

You do realise Apex is in the minority on this right? Most games have a route toward the premium stuff. Apex is one of the very few that does not. So yes, locking away the battle pass is worth criticising. And get EA's dong out of your mouth. You look silly@@forge721

Apex Legends is a liability. It does not bring in enough revenue. You dont sack half your staff over a 2 year period if you're covering costs, EA is not giving up on Apex Legends EA HAS given up on Apex Legends

Two things EA screwed up this year: one they made the battle pass redundant by letting you buy straight up any reactive gun skin and two they drove away most of the player base with their engagement orientated match making eomm, the no longer takes your skill into account instead pit's you against the top 5% 9 out of 10 game's you will loose and EA said yes to this crap, also the reason why the battle pass is split up is to get you to spend every waking moment on the fecking thing while price gouging you every 6 weeks, it's gone from 40bucks a year to 160bucks.
With EA being lead by an individual who doesn't know what common sense is.
If Apex ever hits rock bottom, he'll blame it on Respawn and wash his hands that he's got nothing to do with it.
Thegamingmerchant talked about it and was shocked I never seen him so mad at apex and he's a quite nice guy
I'm someone who basically just gets the battle passes for the most part, not really buy anything else. and there are things I do like and hate about the new battle pass. the main thing I like is getting double the crafting metals. which means I can get an event skin, which I normally don't, or cant (looking at you Final Fantasy event...) and I hope. HOPE. the second bp of the season gives us the same amount of stuff as the first half, because I wouldn't put it past EA to just put the same skins and stuff at this point. but if they do it in a good way then that would be 6 legendary skins for 20 bucks essentially, as well as 4800 crafting metals (2 guaranteed event skins if you wish). Plus i never used all the bloated stuff like trackers or blue skins they put on the bp anyways, so I'm all for getting rid of them. Now what I DONT like is only being able to pay real money now, since i was one of the people who used the apex coins for the next battle pass, or at least keep 500 so its only 5 bucks, so that sucks. Another thing I'm not a huge fan of is that on top of that... YOU NEED TO BUY IT AGAIN! So you're telling me that even if i didn't care about the other stuff, I now have to pay 20 dollars on top of technically having to grind even more to get both of the reactive skins now?! because remember, if you consider the new BP just a new version of the old one cut in half (which it basically is) then we have to grind 120 levels instead of 110 now. SO unbelievably stupid. They could literally make it so much better, Id even say way better than the old one, if they just let you use apex coins instead of money... That's it! They ruined an objective upgrade (or at least in my opinion it is, mileage may vary) with greed. I don't even know if I want to play this game anymore, its full of cheaters, Greedy as hell, and not fun. i just got done playing xdefiant, and actually had fun, and it felt fair. you're losing me to a UBISOFT GAME, EA!!! That's a new low...
(btw if you made it this far, Hello! also its fine to disagree, we all have different opinions, and yours are just as valid as mine are. But the one thing we can all agree on is that EA is greedy as hell)

Had the game still installed on PC to return someday like I usually do but this bp adjustment was a good reason to uninstall. It’s is just the sum of many thing I started to dislike as a solo queue player
The Gaming Merchant spoke on this in his video. It really is just a pay now if you want the skin early or wait a year and will be in the store rotation.
If they wanted extra money for battle passes they should've let us buy old battle basses and unlock them. That would be cool but this is just insane
I wish the community would get this upset over the bugs in the game every update puts in more bugs I hate getting kicked in a rank game and having to restart the game and going back because my character was just standing there
This is a slap in the face to everyone who has been a loyal player. By removing skins just because they are deemed less desirable is an insult to the time and effort that those of us who grinded the old battle passes and unlocked those skins they already have my money they can't give me my time back.
Good luck getting them to change this. Even if they do they will type some bs like"We here you and we are makeing adjustments" Only to still have us feed into it. F EA and these new guys at Respawn for allowing this to happen.
Hopefully, in Season 23 or next year, they will change the currency back to the way it is supposed to be.
They just don’t want to give players good looking skins for $10 in a battlepass when they can sell said skins for $30 in the store.

The reason for this change is EA announced on its 2023 investor call that Apex was drastically “underperforming financially”. All Apex decisions are based on EA profits now
I love how I received10 exotic shards with the new season but those disappeared and I have not received them back

i’ve been playing apex on and off since season 1. but i just started really getting into the game last november. IT SEEMS LIKE i couldn’t have picked a worse time to get attached to this game
Battle pass skins used to be special and I felt cool having my golden dragon havoc from season 1, heatwave flatline from season 4, jade tiger octane from season 2, and yeah I guess they arent the same texture or whatever but they just keep bringing them back and I don't even care about grinding the passes anymore for these legendary goofy skins
If you decide to buy the battlepass day 1 on season 22 and complete the challenge first 2weeks they refund you 1,000 AC (I think that amount of AC they refund) and not real money refund nor they say your payment for 1st split battlepass will be credited for 2nd battlepass split instead
recolor heirlooms pisses me off. if they gave you it if you already had the orignal okay, but double dipping when other legends dont have any. idk apex pisses us off on purpose the more you hate something the more power they have over you
I won't even touch the game after this I've been using my apex coins every season to get the BP. It takes a lot to save those and not buy things. This might be the nail in their coffin. I'm here to watch that ship sink, finally.
Biggest issue is that they are just thinking of making the most amount of money when they have a game that isnt worth playing currently, if they actually cared about their players they would handle the cheater-problem first, it's like they have no idea how to run a business/game. A happy playerbase is also alot more likely to buy skins and whatnot - isnt a steady reliable income better than one big cash grab if you want your product to succeed?
Ea experimented doing this a while ago. Yall rememebr the eva 8 reactive bp? They gave us one of the reactive ones halfway thru the bp and the other at the end. They saw how we liked that idea so they split it into 2 bps and monetized it 😂

This has been talked about, but how is it worthless?? IF theyre actually good, you're getting them included in the $20 per split whereas the legendary skins will come back next year and most likely be only available in a bundle, so maybe $40 each?? I would rather grind to get them through the BP than spend more money to unlock the later. Thought the whole point of everyone being upset was to save money???
While I think it's funny people think they are entitled to free battle passes, the grind for something that isn't exclusive probably isn't worth it.

The only filler content in the BP that people want gone is the rare weapon skins they do one for all weapons every season I would like to see the time it took you to make those skins focused somewhere else

BRO. if the made some dope RARE skin , they would be rocked and they might be the most lowkey sweat skins. But none of, I say none of the skins that are rare are worth using. They are all ugly. Unless they actually have some really dope (have some community page where they agree on the sounds that will come next season like Fortnite would be fucking dope). Apex needs to think outside the box. They are not the ONLY game that has that adrenaline rush. Just put yourself in literally anyone else’s shoes, and the battle pass would be the best thing they make. Unless they really wanna make a one time “sweaty” skin in the store where anyone and EVERYONE CAN BUY now because of new way to buy it.
The whole reason people why the bp is because of the reactive skin and free legendary skin you get EA acting like we like the whole battle pass they know what they doing by also just giving one reactive skin per split

Hey Thordon what do you think about getting together some of the biggest apex creators and pros and really start pushing to have questions answered by who ever is running apex.
Because all in all the players have the control- if we all get together and demand answers we will get them.
They are the ones offering a product to us, they should like any business respond to us.

If I ever play Apex again, I'm not spending a dime anymore, this is ridiculous. EA will already be getting my money for Dragon Age: The Veilguard and I even hate that their name is on that.

you are complaining about them removing things to grind, and then contradicting by saying in a year it won't matter because you can just by it directly and skip the grind, yea you spend an extra 10 dollars get it exclusive for 1 year, while everyone next year that buys a recolor spends 50 to skip the grind hello, the recolor variants are 50 exotic shards, its 50 dollars. sounds to me you don't understand and would like players to spend 50 on a recolor instead of 20 and completing a 60 level bp. the only people who get less value are ftp players, old bp had 152 dollar value over 3 months, new bp has 380 without premium plus over 3 months, and without premium plus its still a 10 dollar BP per split, ftp not being able to buy it with coins is the only downside.
