Awesome song - and while it might not seem to tonally fit the game, this is EXACTLY the type of song that you'd get at the end of many 80s and 90s movies.
In the heat of the night While we'd hold each other tight I could feel your love, our heartbeats racin' And I'd look in your eyes and I'd see paradise It's a dream I've been chasin' so long But now your eyes are cold And our love is old How could things go so wrong, my heart is breakin' And all our plans and dreams they don't mean anything I don't want to think that it's over, but I can't take anymore Gotta take a stand for my life tonight Gotta think love over this time Gotta take a stand for my life tonight before I lose mine By the look in your eyes I can tell our love has died Wish I could mend our hearts, but I just keep tryin' I want you back with me the way I know our love could be But I know I'm lyin' to myself, and I can't take anymore Gotta take a stand for my life tonight Gotta think love over this time Gotta take a stand for my life tonight before I lose mine Oh yeah! Gotta take a stand for my life tonight Gotta think love over this time Gotta take a stand for my life tonight before I lose mine (Repeat 2x) Oh yeah... I don't wanna lose mine Aw, play it! *scat* Said I can't take anymore
I remember seeing the trailer to this game in the 90's and wanted to play it so badly! Unfortunately it was banned in Australia.. Just finished it playing it on steam finally. Such an epic song!
I love the game, I was obsessed with it and read the novel made after it several times. And I love both this and Consumite Furore but this is soooooooooooooo tonally wrong. A cheerful 80s style pop song about a stand for your life. So messed up, you gotta love it.
@@sopranosgethigh This Ending Song Sucks it doesn't flow at all with This Game it sounds like something You Expect to Hear from One of The A NIGHTMARE on Elm Street Movies
This bring me to great past memories. When playing games was cheaper and fun. When the dawn of the morning brough many new possibilities in life. That the work (games) of people we would never meet would change our lives forever. Create shift in thinking and makes us wonder what could be out there in the world.
Nova Versao games back then cost alot more than games do now though? Lol this was £50 when it came out in Britain.. That's nearly £90 to £100, nowadays...sega master games also cost up £40 in the mid to late 80's! That's insane. £40 for a ps4 or Xbox 1 game is a bargain compared to back then lol, amiga games were £60 to £70 a pop... That's insane.. Imagine game charging you £110 for a new game
This game sucked me in back in the day, and this song burned in. 7 cd`s. A friend borrowed it, never got it back. Anyway, perfect end credit, should be more recognized.
Thanks for your effort in bringing these all together, this is probably the best/worst FMV game of all time, but it's one anyone can finish at least. You don't happen to have the small piano piece that plays when you look at a painting do you?
@@hackerjack79 Me NEITHER and I'm sorry but This Song doesn't fit with this Game at all it loses all of The Horror that was in The Rest of The Game instead They should have just Replayed Consumite Furore The Music on The Main Menu
@@Hellnubis Take A Stand would definitely fit more with A Soap Opera then A Scary Video Game about A Giant Victorian Mansion haunted by Ghosts and cursed by a giant Demon
I remember how long this game was in production 3 years you would think they could have made it harder at least Sierra redeemed themselves with the next fmv game Gabriel Knight 2 which was much harder than this
Making it harder would have been counter productive, it was meant to attract the kind of person who didn't play games but did enjoy movies, making it hard would have put them off.
Is this really sung by a man? I can't get over how much it sounds like a woman's voice. Anyway, the chorus for this song is the Adrienne/Don love theme used throughout the game (e.g., in the intro to Day One), which I think is pretty neat.

Ah yes. The "I had to kill my possessed husband and banish a demon back to hell and now I'm traumatized" song
In the heat of the night
While we'd hold each other tight
I could feel your love, our heartbeats racin'
And I'd look in your eyes and I'd see paradise
It's a dream I've been chasin' so long
But now your eyes are cold
And our love is old
How could things go so wrong, my heart is breakin'
And all our plans and dreams they don't mean anything
I don't want to think that it's over, but I can't take anymore
Gotta take a stand for my life tonight
Gotta think love over this time
Gotta take a stand for my life tonight before I lose mine
By the look in your eyes
I can tell our love has died
Wish I could mend our hearts, but I just keep tryin'
I want you back with me the way I know our love could be
But I know I'm lyin' to myself, and I can't take anymore
Gotta take a stand for my life tonight
Gotta think love over this time
Gotta take a stand for my life tonight before I lose mine
Oh yeah!
Gotta take a stand for my life tonight
Gotta think love over this time
Gotta take a stand for my life tonight before I lose mine
(Repeat 2x)
Oh yeah... I don't wanna lose mine

Same! This song reminds me of Tell it to My Heart by Taylor Dane. Really out of place, but I love it.

Cheaper? This was £30 when it came out 20 years ago and we didn't get steam sales back then.
For 7 CDs and a full motion picture on it with cut edge technology? Cheaper, man.
No it wasnt,it was a premium title, equivalent to £60 games now

Great song. Too bad it in no way tonally fits with the game's endings. Phantasmogoria 2 got it right.
+Narwhal Entertainment I mean, the lyrics fit, but it sounds like cheesy awesome 80's rock.
part two was terribad.
Evamael Phantasmagoria 2? It was a lot better than Phantasmagoria 1, had actual suspense, wasn't just a low budget, low talent rehash of The Shinning.
"Curtis Craig was a great protagonist" is something I have never before heard in my life.
