I remember in the manga that Guts can move and swing his lump of iron as fast as a master swordsman wielding a rapier, much more so in his Berserker Armor Hellhound mode. Seeing it in action just brings a tear to my eye.
I'm dissapointed that there's no hellhound howling or beastlike movements going on here. Have you seen the Berserker armour in the PS2 game?
I dunno. Just fight Artorias in Dark Souls since he's heavily inspired by Guts. And he moves like Guts in Berserker mode after he got corrupted by the Abyss.
+Yuuki Terumi actually i think it was said to be nearly as fast as a cannonball, which might be why anyone he swings it at completely exlodes.
Edit: Never mind, it was comparable to the impact of a cannonball (more destructive then that even).
+rebelpoxy That`s Artorias actual moveset tho, it would probably resemble this even more if he wasn`t running on fumes/dying and he was fighting with his dominant hand.

Yeah, I knew that. Also, if you think about it, the Berserker Armor is also a death trap. Because, according to the manga: The Berserker Armor does NOT heal, it "holds you together...until the user's body is completely broken. So it's basically a mobile Iron Maiden that makes you stronger and faster...at the cost of the user's body...and sanity.

It's not THAT bad. It essentially splints and resets your bones. Using spikes which isn't very pleasant, but still, it does help them heal eventually. We never see it but it does seem the armour removes the spikes eventually seeing as Guts manages to remove the armour. And Guts didn't collapse on a broken leg as soon as that happened.
The main problem is it sticks spikes in you all the time and you could die from blood loss.
That, and whatever it does to you otherwise. Seems to drain your life force somehow but it's not exactly clear what the result is.

This, and the PS2 game is how Guts actually fights. While this is a bit TOO fast, he is certainly slower than that, but really really freaking fast. The manga potrays this very well, too bad that shitstain of 2016/2017 anime (with the exception of the holy epic fucking music) didn't portray this.
Wait, isn't the berserker state supposed to be a temporary transformation for Guts who is using the armor? Or do you gonna tell me that you will unlock a skill/Item that let's you play as a characters transformed state for the entire game? o_O

You unlock it by beating 100 floors with Guts, you get permanent Femto by doing it with Griffith

When you choose a character press triangle to choose a costume when you are on Guts just press triangle and you should be okay xd

Altho i love this game, Berserk would still be better as another dark souls-esk game.
guts doesn't roll on the rounds. guts doesn't die a billion times guts isn't underpowered n die to one skeleton guts fights multiple enemys constantly. guts. darksouls hasnt got the UI or capability to do mass scale combat like berserk has just cos they use berserk referances it doesn't mean it will make it a good game developer for berserk....

But to parallel dark souls and berserk, when a players health runs low from fighting many monsters, it's easy for them to die by some fodder. Garo The Golden Knight actually, it's been like that ever since Guts been killing apostles with it. Schierke confirmed that there's a black aura round it when she tried giving Guts a magic axe & he declined it.
Essentially it means the sword has gained demonic properties after constantly bathing in apostle blood.
