"America's perhaps most creative systematic theologian....his Systematic Theology confirmed his stature not only as an exciting thinker but one whose achievement is indisputably enormous."
-David Bentley Hart
"One of the most original and knowledgeable theologians of our time".
- Wolfhart Pannenberg
Jenson received his Dr. Theol. from the University of Heidelberg in 1960. He taught philosophy and theology at Oxford and Princeton. A student of Karl Barth, his Systematic Theology (1997-99) is widely regarded as one of the most important and creative recent works of systematic theology.
I am SO glad I found this channel. First time I’ve heard Robert Jenson. Clearly he was a brilliant guy. Eternal memory!
"The Spirit of God moves where there is nothing yet."
A deeply beautiful statement.
I love how slow he talks, it gives me time to catch up to his massive, laser-sharp theology. Rest In Peace Dr. Jenson
