24.8.25 Secret Cabin is our adventure to a retired Forest Service Smokechaser structure originally built in 1931. It is first come, first served - so it’s a real gamble to see if you can use it after the hike in! We have to drive deep into the national forest and have been quite strictly told not to reveal this cabin to others, as it has a storied history and has suffered tragedy at the hands of careless users. Follow along with us on our adventure and help us identify the plethora of mushrooms we came across on our hike.
