He has a major solo career. Like Journey to the Center of the Earth, and Phantom of the Opera. Always thought of Wakeman and Emerson as the two of the best keyboardist of the time. He was a key figure in the first wave of “Singer-songwriters” in the late 60’s. He’s got an interesting personal story, and stepped away from the music industry for decades, right at the peak of his popularity.
Such a beautiful song! Have always loved Cat Stevens' music. Great singer songwriter with a very unique sounding voice. One of my first albums I ever bought was his "Tea For The Tillerman" (1970). The whole album is great. So is the album "Teaser & The Firecat". He has had so many great songs in his career such as "Matthew & Son", "The First Cut Is The Deepest", "Oh Very Young", "Wild World", "Moonshadow", "Father & Son", "Peace Train" etc. He is still recording & performing live & his voice still sounds great.
