I honestly like the Mecha Godzilla from the 2021 movie quite a lot. I don't think the Mech has to fully look like Godzilla anyways. It just has to be a Gojira looking thingy. Also the CGI in that movie was amazing so that also boosts my score to either the great tier and maybe cream of the crop tier.
Type 2 kiryu looks sick with his blades and beams but the chest plate and chest beam damage is E P I C because it has funni spammable beams to stall frozen behemtoh so i give kiryu 9.8/10
My favorite is mg21, I actually like the fact that it doesn’t look too much like godzilla for him being a little thinner, it does make it look like he would’ve been a bit more agile in the movie instead, I also like mg21 probably just because of how his head looks like it’s angry as hell from the front when he tilts his head down and hides some of the top part of his eyes and how it’s dorsal plate lights give a good line up pattern from the head to tail, and also, I think I may get your issue with how heisei mecha Godzilla’s design would is its how it’s shapings are a bit round and doesn’t look sharp enough to be something that fits in a movie.

That’s why I love his blocky design, and the red is just 👌. I also like how his fighting style is kind of human in a way, punching, kneeing, and grabbing/throwing his opponents. He is also pretty strong, even at base he was able to clap MV Goji at 50% power without a struggle, and it was even stated that if MV Goji was at full power, the fight would have went differently, but also meaning that Mecha still would have won, it would have just been more difficult. Now imagine him with the actual Hollow Energy source, it would be a massacre

Alright,im kinda late but here are my opinions, I like showa mechagodzilla as well,its an all around good design and his chaotic-jittery movement is pretty cool, I don’t exactly like his flexibility in the movies but in his other appearances this is an issue fixed well enough. Mv mecha was never supose to just replace godzilla. It was a machine made to kill him that was based on him but got many changes in order to be more efficient. In my opinion the 3 best ones are kiryu, ready player one and monsterverse mecha. I also dont really like the showa or heisei designs. Showa looks like a tin-can that got oversized and grew arms, legs and a head and then someone though it was a good idea to give it weapons. Heisei, well yes, its just that head and the toy like appearence. But we shall all never forget the true worst desing ever...

To be honest I Would've add Mv Mechagodzilla in S tier, The reason is because of the model if I was wanting to kill Godzilla i would've given it longer arms and a size difference. I wouldn't think people will try to make it like a mecha clone of something they are trying to kill. the longer arms would probably help with rang melee because of how strong Godzilla is. the bulky arms would also help with the humbling of Godzilla and so the arms and joints wont snap on impact and the over all bulkiness of the design would help him clash with Godzilla if he ever gets close and personal with him.
