There is a lot of factors here. But ddr 4 or 5 can be used for (for example) a 13600k. Based on a few benchmarking results from somewhat reliable yters, the difference between the top end of both is about 5-10%, depending on the task. So, you have to decide whether the difference in cost between the 2 is worth it for the performance. If you already HAVE solid ddr4, it probably isn't, unless you are buying a 13600 or better. Of course, if you are going all out and buying an i9...just drop the money for the better ram. If you are like me and the pc you are upgrading is MANY generations old, you need new ram anyway. I dropped around 1500 on pc parts. I grabbed a 14600k bundle and got 32gigs ddr5. Partially because I got a bundle that saved me money on the better ram. But even if I had to buy the parts by themselves... 32gb ddr4 40-60bucks, 32gb ddr5 80-120 bucks. $1500 x 10% is 150, 1500x5% is 75. So even if I only got the minimal uplift, its still worth as long as the price between the two is under 75 dollars difference. Which it is. If I get a 10% uplift, well, that's just gravy. Edit: since the price difference is 40-60 dollars (depending on quality) it makes sense to just go ahead and grab the better ram. Especially because I got it in a bundle and if you subtract out the parts cost if purchased individually (proc and mobo) I essentially got the ram for like 20 dollars. 😂

Meaning I can just pair I9 with DDR5 😅
I'm in the middle of choosing between a laptop having I9 with 32gb Ddr4, vs an I7 with 16gb ddr5. Your video felt like it was literally meant for me to see it and finally take the decision. Cheers for that man!
I think you should get ddr5 cauz you can put another stick later but if you go with ddr4 than you cant use those ram in near future
I also did the same. Recently i have build a pc with 7600 where i used 8gb ddr5 ram and few days ago i have installed another 8gb ram
It doesnt matter as much if its i7 or i9, what matters most BY FAR is the generation. A 13th gen i7 with ddr5 is better than a 12th gen i9 with ddr4. So keep that in mind.
@@Ι.Κουμ very true. Also in near future you will need more faster ram so you should make your pc future proof
@@Ι.Κουμyeah an i9 from 2 gens ago can barely beat an i3 from this generation
32 ddr5 6400hz or 64 6000hz
If they're the same price, it depends on your use. For gaming, 64 GB is VERY overkill, so go for the faster ram, for heavy productivity applications get 64 GB.
But my board supports ddr4. So?
an i7 13700k is better than an i9 12700k so I'll take i7 with ddr5 ram
Bro ram doesn’t make your computer faster. Just because it’s ddr5
I got an DDR5 WITH i9
Core i9 is faster if same generation
I personally have a 32gb ddr3 trident z build with an i7-4790k and an rtx 2060 if I have to choose between ddr5 16 gb with an i5 and a 2060 I’m choosing the damn ddr3
Wish we could save these to a “playlist” for quick reference
such a bullshit and is not nesesery. the differce will be around +10fps. so f&ck ddr5. i have VENGEANCE® RGB PRO black 4x16gb = 64gb 3,200mhz. computer running outstanding and fast. believe me, peapl will sit on ddr4 much more than you think.
ddr4 one love ❤
Watching on my legion i7 13th , ddr 5
Who asked
ddr2 800
Ddr3
Imagine someone who still uses ddr2
Thanks helpfull
AMD scrubs out here.
This is not true for gaming.
😂
Me over here with 4gb of ddr2
Me with a $4000 pc and DDR4 ram… 🥲
