normally i use thunder belt against the hyper carries since two months as first item cause mitigates a lot of the damage in the early game and it's worth for late game.
The most ridiculous build I tried with clint was thunderbelt + endless battle + starliym scythe + guardian helm + bod + holy crystal. (Sold boots after 3 first items) The last three items increases the true damage of the passives of first 3,and clint 2nd uses magic scaling. I kid you not, I solely dealt 40% damage, melted tanks (sounds fake but isn't).
This is what people don't understand tho. Yeah, halved for MM and mages, but 52/2 = 26 stacks of hybrid physical and magic defense is still valuable esp for marksmen. Add that to the fact that clint can trigger the true dmg bsc attack right after using a skill.
It's a good choice for early game especially against assassin roams. I just had a game against helcurt roam and he was surprised I didn't die from his 1-2 combo😅
Clint is a marksman, the new thunderbelt is not worth item for clint anymore, because its only half the potential for marksman and mages, but sky piercer on the other hand is a good item for clint if u wanna use it for his build👍🏻 pretty good i say its almost as delicious as double berserker fury😁

I just got 71 stack with Clint in a 22 mins long game, which means I gained 35 hyb def from the passive as my 2nd item
