Decent weapons work but his empty hand skills....😅. I have seen him before and he appears to be textbook without actual real time application. The Buj is much different now than in the 80's 😢

Had a friend who had to use his Bujinkan “skills” against 2 attackers recently.
Sadly, he now breathes through a tube and relies on a computer to speak. Matter of fact I’m in an Uber bringing him soup now.

Sounds really painful. But is not his teachers fault. You do not know what you are talking about. A teacher is not God or guardian angel. I m sorry you feel like that. Still tho trying to accept who is responsible for serious and unfortunate life events we all face, we all should be more fair and sensible. A teacher shows us the way but cannot open our minds if we don't work and understand the teaching . The essence of any knowledge. 🙏

Sorry about what happened to your friend. I do not study Bujinkan but can only tell you that the odds of defending against two attackers are not good even for experienced fighters regardless of there martial arts. manosveniersis8982 comment is true as well. My marital arts history consists of Shotokan and Goju ryu Karate, Aikido and Shinto Muso Ryu (Sword, Knife and Jo Staff training).

Do you also believe an Olympic swimmer can not drown because they know how to swim. Situations can have bad outcomes regardless of your skill level.
Your story had an unpleasant outcome, but I am trying to understand, what was the point of it....
It serves no purpose in a post to promote an event by whom I understand through research and conversating with the Bujinkan community to be a genuine and foremost practitioner who is respected and humble enough to pass on his knowledge.

It was sarcasm. Basically poking fun at an inefficient art that I spent years in under the best instructors on the planet. Not to say it has zero value but I’d rather rely on 🏃 away first. The point is this - you can’t watch this footage and expect anyone to take it seriously. It’s misleading at best and outright fraud otherwise. Anyone who has EVER been in a knock drown, drag out throwdown knows this crap doesn’t work. Respectfully of course.
