    (I love Robben Ford, Keb' Mo', BB, Danny Gatton, et al, because they play the blues, but their playing fills me with absolute joy. I'll add Tim Lerch to that list!)

    Grabbing the 3 and 7 is alot easier than grabbing the whole chord its just how to learn where they are . for chords that are rooted off the 6th and 5th string it the 3rd and 4th usually it will change with your inversions but its a start. 3rds and 7thz are it
