Can you help me. My puzzle is very old and the same as the one in the video except that of the 6 long piece , 2 of them are different, the wider bit at the ends are slightly longer. (The overall length is the same as the others)... difficult to explain without a drawing. I can complete the puzzle but these extra bits of wood mean that I cannot put the last key in. Hope someone can help
Not easy to help without seeing these pieces. I think you have 2 "defect" pieces, it's maybe on purpose and done in such way that all the pieces can stay firmly together but you have to apply some force to put back together the puzzle. You can try to start with these 2 pieces or use a sand paper to reduce the length of the end. That happened to me for another puzzle where I have to apply a crazy force to free the pieces (took some measurements and a couple of pieces were to wide). I had to use the sandpaper if not impossible to reassemble the puzzle.
@@DomPuzzles Thanks for the quick reply. The puzzle was complete when I first got it . I took it apart many years ago and have kept the pieces until I saw your video and thought I would have another try at assembling it. . I maybe should have said that the different bits are thicker at the ends., rather than wider. I'm sure they will fit together. I don't want to sandpaper in case I make them lose. I will wait and see if anyone else has a similar puzzle. Many Thanks anyway
@@elliotsmith9409If it was easy to take apart the puzzle, in that case that means you need to place one regular with the thicker one (or both together) but you need to find where exactly these pieces were placed, that will be a lot of try.
