The most important subject in Scripture is the atonement. After Lucifer challenged the character and government of God, how has God responded to Satan’s brilliant offensive? This study examines the three phases of God’s counter-offensive, focusing primarily on the relationship between the sacrificial atonement and the final atonement. After Christ’s victory on the cross, what else is necessary to shut down Satan’s remaining objections to God’s way of handling the problem of sin?
