    No way he wasn’t motivated,
Pretty obvious that the team didn’t buy into his system which made it impossible for him to call. That no doubt tilted Cadian, because there is nothing more frustrating then trying to call when people don’t do what you call with conviction….

I can’t help but think part of the issue the team had with CadiaN was a clash with Zews and the way he wants to set the team up? I mean they put their 600k egg in the Skullz basket and that back fired too, why not let CadiaN have the keys and properly lead this team like he did Heroic?

true, cadiaN has proved that he could build major contending teams from the ground up in his time in heroic, heroic came in storming into the scene going from onliners to actual contenders. i hoped cadiaN could’ve done the same in liquid and honestly it was too early to bench cadiaN, they should’ve given him more freedom in controlling the teams system.

Clearly, Cadian wasn't allowed to captain the way he wants. So in that sense, he was the problem.. but then again, I find it crazy that he wasn't just given the freedom and trust to do that. What kind of horrid, disturbing shit does Yekindar have on Liquid management to keep his spot? The kid helps blow up the team this time last year, IGLs himself into the ground. Liquid builds a new team around him and his stats still fall off a cliff short of a couple matchups. Now to maintain a core they have to keep him or suffer restarting the ranking... Also NAF, somebody please save this man from this nightmare.

Having always been a Liquid and Heroic fan... seeing Cadian move to Liquid was bittersweet. The whole Stavn/Jabbi situation left my mouth sour. But having Cadian move to Liquid felt great. Seeing all the 'progress' and emotional connections the team supposedly made at the beginning was refreshing from all the drama between the two teams prior. Seeing Twistzz back and then Liquid disintegrating in front of all of Europe and America when they failed to make it to the first CS2 Major felt like a kick in the teeth. I pray for Liquid's sake that they have something planned, because kicking an AWP IGL with the experience of Cadian is NOT going to be easy to replace.

How are you supposed to implement strategies every round when 40% of your team are dead after fifteen seconds? Karrigan couldn't have had success with this lineup...

I always had some doubts in Cadian leading team liquid. Sure, his calling style worked out very well in Heoric, but that required the 4 other players to completely buy into his system and also required very clear and concise communication in matches. Liquid is the complete opposite of Heoric, it's an international squad with star players who all have very big egos, especially yekindar. I am unsure if kicking Cadian is the right move but at this point, buying back elige and get nitro and stewie2k back on board seems like a more exciting roster than any recent iterations team liquid had, might as well go for an NA last dance.

I think Cadian has the potential, but I think Liquid is not the right fit for him. Liquid has too many star players that have their own ways of playing CS. Unlike Heroic, Team Liquid isn't built around Cadian and so I think Cadian has the potential like I said, but he needs to start from ground zero with players that fit the roles or in some sense fits the puzzle in which Cadian is the center piece.
Looking at Cadian's stats also, I must say that having to IGL and awp on Liquid is not really working out for Cadian so I think its a win-win for both Cadian and Liquid.
The thing about being in a team like Team Liquid is that mediocrity is not an option. Cadian was in Heroic from 2019 to 2023, but Heroic only managed to Top 3 (HLTV) in late 2020 which is exactly one whole year after Cadian joined the team. Before that they were around 15# - 36#. So maybe it's just a matter of time for Liquid but perhaps Liquid as an organization cannot afford the risk of hoping that Cadian will turn Liquid into a Top 5 team. After all nothing is guaranteed.
So TLDR: Cadian leaving Liquid can be a win-win for both parties. I just hope that Liquid is willing to give their players the space and time to work things out and improve before kicking them out so soon

So keep Cadian, drop Yekindar and find an IGL. Let Cadian just AWP, because he isn't an IGL. From what I saw, it's not a role he can fill effectively. Having said that, there are few good IGLs that are looking to leave their teams currently, so it's easy to say 'get a new IGL', but difficult to find someone to take the spot.

Look at how G2 sets up monesy or go back and watch 2018 s1mple after NAVI picked up electronic. TL with Osee didn't work because they put him on an island in some kind of JKS/magisk style role with the AWP and expected him to make miracles. Nitro was a good IGL but only used the AWP because TL never invested in an AWPer after s1mple left and eventually they got Osee. They wanted cadiaN to reduce his trash talk and this had a direct impact in his performance because he's holding himself back at every point. cadiaN is definitely a person who can win impossible clutches and give highlights of a lifetime, but what liquid management did to him is brutal. As sad as it is, I think cadiaN is better off joining another team. I personally believe that if G2 wishes to get rid of HooXi, cadiaN would be the best IGL option available in the market since he's good and is also open to become a secondary awper or not awp.

Been a fan of NA CS since 2016, beginning with Liquid, & i mean what can you say.. choke at mlg columbus, losing to astralis all of 2018 as second place merchants, questionable signings such as shox & nitr0 again (do we actually want to lift a trophy?), going EU & failing miserably, & here we are in 2024 after another failed project. There is no hope ahead as we are failing to realize yekindar has fucked this team ever since he’s joined.. & he won’t be leaving anytime soon.

As an American I can honestly say that I've given up on our scene. I feel as though Valorant single handedly destroyed any chances of us having a top tier team. There needs to be young talent rise up in NA. We're recycling the same players over and over and trying to mix in EU and Brazilian players who are never a good fit and a waste of time and money in my opinion. The only real talent we have in NA right now (excluding Brazil) is Elige and Twistz. NAF seems to be way past his prime.
And I can already hear people saying "oh bro but Complexity just won a tournament. WYM they're good?!?" Dude, they beat a handful of fking nobodies in a 50k tournament where the best team there was Mongolz. They had to beat Falcons in grand finals, that team is a fking joke and should be disbanded tbh. Ill keep cheering for the teams I like, (Spirit/Mongolz) and let the play styles and personalities be something I connect with. NA is garbage at CS now, and I strictly blame Valorant for decimating the scene.

it seems like team liquid has had a star problem for a LONG time. guys, liquid hasn't done shit in how many years? maybe it's time to buy into an IGL's system. i honestly think they would have been better off keeping cadian and picking up T2 american players that will buy into a system and play real counter-strike. all the stars should be benched, it's not for you to say your ideas don't align with the in-game LEADER, shut up and buy into the system or get out.
