This is one of the best I've heard in a while. It sounds VERY close to your harp ukelele scarborough fair... but I like this better... it sustains longer and just feels cleaner.
Hey Jan, there was a song in which you were singing and it was like a country blues. You had a hat and like a brownish jacket and I wanted to hear it again but I'm not getting able to find it. Did you remove it? It can you please help me find it?
Hi Jan! Beautiful playing.. Is that the pickup that ships with the Gsharp? Or did you add it. Sounds wonderful. I have my eye on a gSharp as it seems great for travelling.
Hi thanks for the comment, this one is the "acoustic bridge" one...so not the standart pickup wich comes with the g sharp, that one is magnetic..i don't know if they still produce that acoustic bridge sistem (powered by Fishman) it sounds really incredibly acoustic, basically you just remove the standart bridge and change it for the acoustic one........cheers Jan
Wow!!!! Is this possible on ukulele? Also, what's the difference between a sharp guitar and a regular guitar? It looks a little smaller and seems to sound a little higher?
+Shannon P Hi, this is Alex from G-Sharp Guitars. The G-Sharp OF-1 is closer to a guitar than a ukulele. It can be tuned in a variety of ways (not sure about the tuning Jan is using in this video) but it is designed to be tuned to g# with 10 gauge strings. It's basically like playing a standard guitar with a capo on the fourth fret. The scale length is 20.75", compared to, say, a Telecaster's scale length of 25.5". This, along with the single-coil pickup, gives the guitar a warm, bell-like sound and fantastic sustain (as Jan pointed out in his video description). In this video, Jan is also using our acoustic bridge conversion, which has, unfortunately, sold out. You can find more info at www.g-sharpguitars.com or send me a message at alex@gsharp.us
