How long will it take international distributors and the local distributors to set up their own lines, their own machines, their own technicians, negotiating all land use rights and secure all liability insurances before they ultimately replace all the dockworkers there? Many jobs on the port are specialized and require skilled labor to handle the different supply lines, different cargo, different inclement conditions on the fly. There is a reason, despite the welcoming of automation at UPS and FedEx, their freight is still handled by people. It is unfortunate that automation is taking over,so instead of striking to get as much as you can,you need to look ahead and try to get some training while you can so you can get a new good job before your current job goes away instead of waiting until the day your job ends.
