The fact that AFDA has such great alumni would make one think it's a brilliant school and it absolutely isn't. I've learnt more about the film industry in this hour than I did this whole year at AFDA. So many of my fellow students dropped out and I'm even contemplating leaving AFDA myself. That place sucks the passion out of you. This episode has given me hope and reignited something in me that I allowed AFDA to take away so thank you very much to you bra Sbu for the platform and bra Mandla for the generosity in sharing what you know. Very insightful and valuable information for us filmmakers.
@@andilesithole7202 No, I changed schools. I wasn't going to waste more money and time with that place. I'm finishing my 2nd year at SAE Institute now, still studying film. It was the best decision of my life, SAE is an incredible film school.

I would like to thank Grootman DJSbu for creating this platform For me it's no longer hustlers corner, it's the institution Boma Masterclass kinda thing I'm learning everyday,my mind is more open to things around the world Thank you Grootman Siyabonga❤️ Much Fatela
THIS IS A FRIKKEN MASTERCLASS OF NOTE!!! Thank you for concisely summing up what we NEED to actually work in the industry. Yes I went to film school but feel a lot of the time could have been spent doing practicals, filming and sharpening the skill. If they'd just give people what they need instead of drowning the students in unnecessary theory our industry would express itself so much more richly and more polished. Looking forward to the Film Masterclass you mentioned Khehla 😊🙌🏾🙏🏾! Thank you again
Learned so much about the film & tv industry in the first 20 minutes of the show! I would gladly attend a masterclass by Mandla N. He doesn't hold back important information and he speaks so passionately about the industry.👌
Grootman Siyabonga for this master class,i am a film graduate and this was quite enlightening.Shout to Bhut Mandla for empowering young aspiring film and tv individuals.😊
Ohh my word🎉🎉I did not know this was Mandla N the producer, I mean I know him from Ses’top la playing Mandla ✨✨☀️🍾such a beautiful interview thanks DJ Sbu ❤❤
CONTENT OVERLOAD!!! The type of content a black child needs right now in this country. To Mindlos and Sbu! Yizoyizo guys💯👌🙏🙏🙏 Blessings! We can’t wait for a follow-up interview!
Sbu my brother I'm very proud of the work you are doing and your guest. Mandla we appreciate what you are doing. I'm inspired let's build our own movement and stop supporting Afriforum but our own black consciousness. I hope to see Julius MALEMA my president on your show please
Thank you for this!!!! I'm in the industry too and have had the pleasure of observing you work sir, truly inspiring indeed. We are learning from afar but feel close to you from platforms such as these, thank you greatly 🙏🏾🙌🏾. Amazing indeed ✨. Thank you brothers
Great masterclass. Leadership and HC team for me the progressive convo would be forming a forum that present interest of Africans. Because everyone from every industry has grievance about lack of support from government. Clearly it’s not for us. Sad we have to look up to a Afriforum as if we don’t have brains that can push, protect and advocate for our agenda. This is an issue of organization. Leadership2020 do you mind pioneering this for us? 🙈
What a great interview... My son is studying Fine Arts at Open Window and i recommended this interview for him to learn. Thanks Sbuda & Mandla for such a dope episode. #MOFAYA
Thank You Dj Sbu. I'm sad I missed this. I wanted to ask The legendary Mandla N. which Casting Agencies does he recommends or does he work with under Black Brain. I'm studying Acting in Tshwane University Of Technology, also major in Scriptwriting.
Hi bhuti Sbu, please kindly tell ubhuti Mandla that i have an excellent idea that i would love to share with him. It's a drama-series built around a coloured community. It's basically just awesome. He's gonna love it🙏
Malom Sbu thank you for the continuous great work. Just as a suggestion, may you please request the full name and surname of the people mentioned in interviews so we can check them social media or possibly support them. Tebza was mentioned and yet I don't know his surname. Kgaupe the iconic photographer was mentioned and yet I don't know her surname.
Bhut'Sbu, for sone people abathi iTV these days plays stories ezingathi its "NEWS"... In that, the shows are more like recreating what is happening in our society, like the drugs and killings etc... I hope and wish (if they can aboBhut'Mandla) create stories that will flood our "spaces" giving us the picture or an idea of WHAT & HOW the South Africa we'd love to live in would look like, because I believe a lot of us don't have an idea of how my "daily doings" are contributing into making our living conditions worse... Maybe, what I'm trying to say is, they must sell us a picture of how "The Perfect South Africa" would look like, so that all of are somehow pushed/programmed to work towards that dream... Ngoku, TV is full of drugs and crime etc... But if TV can be used to teach my kids to never take drugs or to never do crime, just like how our old Gogos and Mkhulus would create stories ezazisenza soyike to do bad / wrong things... I'm not sure if I'm making sense... But (for example) TV doesn't have a lot (if any) of shows such as this Hustlers Corner which for me is more worthy of "air play" than what is on TV currently... Like, THEY MUST PUSH THAT AGENDA which aims to make South Africa (or even Africa as whole) GREAT and a lovely/comfortable/safest place to live in... ❤ Yah, something like that... Otherwise, MOFAYA 🎉
Great content on this channel! I'm interested in discussing potential business opportunities, what's the best way to reach out and start that conversation?
